From Grand Junction: take I-70 west to the Loma exit, Exit 15. Turn left, goacross the interstate to the frontage road and turn right. Go about 1000ft(0.2 mile) and turn left at the gravel road. (If you reach the truck scales you’vegone too far.) Once on the gravel road go just over 1/2 mile to the trail head, it’s really big so it’s hard to miss.

If you want to start from the Rustler’s Loop Trailhead: turn left at the gravel roadjust past the outhouses, go over the ridge and down the hill (watch for cyclists!!)to where the gravel road ends at a locked gate. Parking is on the left. Beyond the gate it’s private property, so don’t go there.
