Kingdom Kids Wednesdays: September 11th – November 20th

(Will not meet on October 16th)

Our fall session of Kingdom Kids starts Wednesday, September 11th. Kingdom Kids is a mid-week ministry for children age 4 years through 5th grade. Dinner is served at 5:30pm @ $2.50 per person. After dinner, we gather for some praise music followed by small group Bible lessons from 6:00-7:00pm. Each week children will work on games and activities to learn an essential Bible verse. They will have the opportunity to earn rewards or prizes for memorizing the Bible verse at home and being able to recite it the next week. Registration forms can be found in the Information Rack and can be turned into the church office. Adult Bible Study also offered from 6-7pm. GAP Apologetics Study

Fall 2019

Given the many challenges of discipling children in our fast-paced, social media dominant

culture, it’s mission critical that parents are prepared to help their kids navigate the tough

faith questions they’ll encounter.

Join us as we begin our ten week study together. We will cover 40 of the most important

faith challenges parents and kids need to understand today.

Confirmation Family Meeting

Please join us in the 4th/5th grade Blue Room located at end of Children’s Ministry wing to hear more information about Lighthouse Confirmation Classes!

Classes begin September 8th, 8:30am

Confirmation Class When: Sunday (beginning September 8th) Time: 8:30-9:30am Confirmation is a one-year class for youth 6th grade and older. The class is offered on Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:30am beginning September 8th. Confirmation students will learn essential truths of the Christian faith and practice applying them to their daily lives. The goal is to provide youth with the foundation of a Christ-centered worldview as they grow into young adulthood. Bible Study Fellowship For Men & Women

Tuesday Nights: 6:30-8:00pm

Dates: September 10 – December 10, 2019

January 7 – May 5, 2020

Our study this year is called Acts and Letters of the Apostles.

Women & men can sign up at the first meeting on September 10th. There will be an infor-mational meeting that night for anyone new. Women will meet in the sanctuary; men will meet in the Harbor. Childcare will be available.

Year-Round Shoebox Collection Items

Now is a great time of year to go out and grab some school supply items for Operation Christmas Child Shoe boxes.

This fall, we would like to have a big packing party to try and fill as many shoeboxes as we can. I have wondered what a good goal would be and I would like to see us try and fill up 100 shoeboxes. However, in order to do this, we will need donations of all kinds for all ages. Boxes will be filled for either a boy or a girl and in age groups of 2-4 years, 5-9 years, or 10-14 years. Please drop off any items you would like to donate in the Church Office. The Pastor’s Discretionary Fund is a special fund with gifts given to share the love of Christ with people in need in our community. This Fund is running very low at this time. If you feel called to give an “over and above” gift, please write your check to Lighthouse Church and in the memo put “PD Fund”.
