If you have truly put your trust in Jesus then you have already found that person…Jesus and you are headed to that place…Heaven. The problem is we are not living with Him in that Place yet! C O M M U N I T Y G R O U P Q U E S T I O N S 1. Share with the group a time when you were very excited about a special purchase? How long did you spend shopping for the right place and price? Describe the feeling when the purchase was final? How long did the joy of the purchase last?

2. Read Matthew 13:44-46. Why does Jesus describe the Kingdom of Heaven as something that is hidden from most people? From your perspective, what comparative value represents a willingness to give up all your possessions?

3. Read 2 Timothy 3:1-2. In the message, Peter described people trying to have a relationship with possessions. Can you think of any real life examples in your everyday life? Read Matthew 6:19-21. What is the effect on our hearts if our treasure is in the wrong place? Furthermore, how does it affect our relationships?

4. Read Matthew 19:29. How does your weekly giving to Lighthouse Church, gifts to the poor, and special missions add up when you multiply them times 10,000% or 100 X’s? Does this inspire you to give? In terms of people, can you think of lives that have been changed as a result of your giving (be specific)? How can we as a group encourage each other to trust the promises of Jesus and live out His teaching?

5. The Treasure Principle teaches us that you can’t take it with you but you can send it on ahead. Jesus as the person, is our first treasure. Heaven as the place, is our second treasure. How can we as group help each other spot imitations? In this season of giving for missions, how can we as group create opportunities to give more? Close your group praying for our Special Missions offering to go above and beyond.
