Dear Guardian Angels School and Little Angels PreSchool Families,
The current school year is not even halfway over, but we at Guardian Angels are already planning for the 2011-
2012 school year. There are several endeavors already begun this school year that will continue and be expanded
in the next. Here are a few of the key initiatives:
We will be continue to implement our International Outreach Program with our Chilean schoolconnection. We plan to broaden and deepen our students experiences they will begin in March 2011.
By the start of next school year, we will have a new Mathematics curriculum selected and ready toimplement on the first day of school.
Teachers will continue to use the fall standardized test scores to reach out to students who areapproaching grade level, as well as a plan to enrich classroom experiences for all students in their classes.
By fall, we will be entering into the second year of our three year Sustainability Review Process. The goalsand vision set forth in our plan will continue to be implemented and reviewed to ensure Guardian Angels
School is a school we can all be proud of for many years in the future.
This past Sunday, we celebrated the Baptism of Jesus. In one weeks time in the Church year, Jesus grows from the
youngster we hear about with the visit from the Magi to an adult, ready to go forth into the world and begin his
public ministry. There is very little mention in the Scriptures about the childhood of Jesus when we may be looking
for suggestions on how to raise and educate our children, but the educators within the walls of GA have much to
share. We all know and realize that there are a many important stages children go through to reach their fullest
potential, and we hope you continue to choose GA as the educational environment to guide your children on their
way.
The staff of Guardian Angels has collectively 207 years of teaching experience, with 158 of those years coming
right here at GA. That is an amazing number! Our staff is not only dedicated to education, but a Catholiceducation. Our teachers also all have degrees in the area they teach. In addition to a standard teaching license, all
of the Middle School teachers also have a concentration or advanced degree work in their main content area. So,
not only do they have a passion for their subjectthey have the training to share it with our students. I could go
on and on with my list of Why I Love GA because not only am I the Principal, but Im also a proud GA parent! If
youd like to hear more of my anecdotes or share some of your own experiencesId love to sit down with you.
Prayerfully consider the enclosed registration forms for next year. We ask that your forms are turned in by Friday,
January 28th
, so that new families can begin the registration process after our Open House on January 30th
. You
will see that there is a tuition increase for our students next school year, but we hope you understand that one of
the critical pieces to our schools continued success is putting forth a quality educational program while using a
balanced budget approach. Please know that there are scholarship funds available to those who submit an
application to TADS and qualify by the March 18th
due date.
Many Blessings to You!
