Millions of rands have been invested into the infrastructure of Hazeldean to date, with good progress already made on the planning of various new roads that will provide access between the N4 and Pretoria East. A consortium of 6 developers, including Abland and Sable Homes, are working tirelessly to achieve this. Tshwane municipality has recently taken over the Hazeldean area from Kungwini and the developers have had various meetings with the Roads Authorities, Gautrans, Sanral, Tshwane Roads Departments and TRAC, regarding the road planning. The planned roads include a complete diamond interchange for the PWV17 and N4 crossing, the PWV17 provincial highway, and other roads such as The need for these roads has originated mainly from the rapid growth the area is currently experiencing. Another massive accolade for the developers of the node is that they have obtained buy-in from a substantial and prominent local investor to complete the first phase of the Hazeldean Regional Mall (marked with a 6 in master plan below). This mall will be substantial in size. In addition to the Regional Mall, negotiations are also underway to construct a fully-fledged hospital in Hazeldean in the near future, which will be supported by imminent Frail Care Facility in The Retreat, as well as the existing Intercare Sub-Acute and Day Hospital in Hazeldean. On a green note, much has been done to ensure that Hazeldean will be an eco-friendly development, with millions of rands already spent on indigenous plants and trees, integrated water-management systems and the preservation of the wetland areas in the node. The developers are now also opening a nursery in the area, where indigenous plants and trees will be removed from areas earmarked for future development, and relocated to the nursery. Fire prevention tips forthe dry months

Hazeldean Boulevard.

Millions of rands have been invested into the infrastructure

of Hazeldean to date, with good progress already

made on the plann ing of variou s new roads that

will provide access between the N4 and Pretoria East.

A consortium of 6 developers, including Abland and

Sable Homes, are working tirelessly to achieve this.

Tshwane municipality has recently taken over the Hazeldean

area from Kungwini and the developers have had various

Hazeldean residential construction update

The Hazeldean Sales Of fice has marked a sharp

increase in sales over the last couple of months.

On the construction side, things are also moving along rapidly

and servicing of Phase 4 of The Retreat has now begun.

Services should be completed by early July this year.

5 units in Phase 4 are also under construction currently.

In Phase 3, 18 houses are now occupied, 3 are

under construction and another 3 are due to start soon.

the new Hazeldean Operations Manager. Hans is no

stranger to the property development and management

industry, having worked on various retirement and

medical facility developments in the past. He also has

experience in the sales and rental aspects of developments.

A wonderful acco lade to the Sabreal Management

team is that they have now also been appointed to

manage the Hazelmeadow estate, in the Hazeldean Node.

From a general maintenance point of view Sabreal

will be focusing on cleaning the wetlands areas during

the winter months, in conjunction with an Environmental

ASS Security have been maintaining their strong presence

in the node, with a dedicated armed response vehicle

patrolling the node on a continuous basis. The driver of

the vehicle is equipped to assist Hazeldean residents with

basic emergency roadside assistance and first aid. Residents

in Hazeldean are welcome to make use of this free service,

which is offered along Silver Lakes Drive and Ridge Road.

In addition to the overall garden service and maintenance

service Sabreal provides to the Hazeldean Node, they

also offer individual garden- and maintenance services

Onlangse Curro Gospelfees bekoor gehoor

Op Vrydag, 17 Mei, is die Curro Gospelfees

in die saal gehou. Verskeie vermaakli ke aktiwiteite

het vroegmiddag plaasgevind, alles natuurlik rondom

die Christustema en om Hom te loof en prys. Die

hoogtepunt was die honderde ballone wat met

spesiale bybelversies die lug ingestuur is. Voor die

skool was daar ‘n waentj ie waar kos, klere ,

komberse en baie ander goedere ingesamel is vir

minderbevoorregte mense, om hulle te help voorberei vir

die koue, moeilike winter wat voorlê. Daar word

voortgegaan met die insameling van donasies tot en met

die einde van die kwartaal (elke bietjie kan help.)

Mense het vanaf 17:50 begin opdaag. Daar was ‘n hele

klomp stalletjies wat boeke, ornamente, kos en bybel-

versies op staal, verkoop het. Daarna kon die mense hul

stoele begin inneem vir die asemrowende optrede

wat voorgelê het. Heel eerste het ons hoof, Dr. Rheeders,

almal verwelkom en voorgestel aan die skreeusnaakse

seremoniemeester. Hy het ons voorgestel aan die hoof van

die Dissipelkoor, Anel Labuschagne en haar “helper”,

André Nieuwoudt wat ons bietjie meer vertel het oor die

Dissipelkoor. Hulle het begin met 17 koorlede en het die

koor opgebou tot ‘n verstommende 70 lede, waarvan almal
