GULFOOD. FIRST FOR BUSINESS.USA reported onsite sales of US$106.7 millionThe most successful USA Pavilion in terms of sales among all USA Pavilions in general food shows worldwide. Exhibitors reported on-site sales amounted to $106.7 million, up 78 percent from the same reported total in 2012. Reported expected sales in the coming 12 months amounted to $361.8 million, up 12 percent over the same total in 2012. Exhibitors also reported making a total of 4,232 serious contacts during the show.
Ethiopia scored over US$3 million in salesThe Office of the Consulate General of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Dubai closed purchase orders to the tune of 3350 Metric Tons consisting of pulses, oil seeds and coffee, the value of which comes to more than US$3 million.
Philippines recorded sales of more than US$53.4 millionAccording to the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the Philippines Pavilion recorded US$53,431,794 of onsite sales. Best selling items included halal marinated products, fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, tropical fruit & Buko Pandan Salad.
