Parish Mission Statement

At Saint James Catholic Church, we exist to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As we strive to proclaim the gospel, we remain aware and committed to evangelization: living, manifesting and embodying the message of Jesus Christ and of His Church on a diocesan, parish, and personal level. Evangelization relates to everything we do as we respond to a growing and diverse Catholic community. We must reach out to the many alienated and un-churched among us, as well as work for Christian unity through ecumenical/interfaith partnerships. We must work to develop appropriate means to pass on the gift of faith to succeeding generations. Evangelization permeates all of our goals.

Due to Covid-19 this season will only accept up to six men and two paid shelter managers; volunteers will not be able to help this season. However, these men will contin-ue to need hot meals, drinks, and breakfast items each day. If you would like to donate a meal you may schedule it by going online to: sigh up genius. The meals to be prepared should be for eight men and delivered in individual to-go plates with individual drinks (cans or bottles). This year a camera has been installed to cover the driveway, so when you drive in someone will come out to take the meals from your car for you to pre-vent individual contact. In addition, these men are always in need of warm clothing, if you’d like to donate clothing they need warm socks, tube socks, underwear, and ther-mal wear, tops and bottoms in grey or black colors in siz-es L, XL, XXL, XXXL.
