ERGONOMICS AND HUMAN REENGINEERING OF WORK

Miroljub Grozdanovic, Faculty of Occupational Safety University ofNis Jovisa Obrenovic, Faculty of philosophy, University of Nis

Abstract: Concept human reengineering defines fundamental reexamination and radical redesign of human and technologic systems for the purpose of “dramatic” raise where is itended work satisfaction of people by using new skills, knowledges and abilities to achieve that aim:

1. Introduction

Production work humanization always presented great challange to the people of various scientific commitments, which still exist despite scientific-technical offensives, industral revolutions and tehnological progresses in updating and revitalization of industrial production.

Solution of so complex problems unaviodably leads to the development of many new problem areas of investigation, and based on them to the new fundaments of konwledges, which must be integrated into the methodlogic scope offered by ergonomics as a science of work humanization, but which is of multidisciplinary character with system aims which are multilaterally related to the comprehensive study and dynamic arrangement of cooperative relaltions and occurances in various system “man-technology- environment” in favour of practical accomplishing human reengineering of sutdied systems.

System ergonomics is aimed to observe interactivly and sinergeticly the acmvmes of people and also their activities after working obligations, because it is longed for to achieve satisfaction at work and also after work. That is dimension of cultivization and complete work humanization based on the scientifically collected and verified data and knowledges.

2. Methodology

This requires the theoretic and methodologic approach which represents mutual coupling of series of old aud new scientific disciplines, as well as interpermeatation of knowledges acquired during research. Such an interdisciplinary methodologic approach involves entire series of related scientific, fields and areas, in a range from basic sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and sociology) to the accompaning system sciences (cybenetics, theory of systems, theory of information, theory of communications), with a note that no one of these disciplines may have main role in accomplishing human reengineering of work, since they interpermeate, and outgrow into specialized disciplines in a system-ergonomic methodologic process.

Work intellectualization most frequently preceds and is the easiest way to the work humanization, what is confirmed by tend&es that production of material products increasingly gives up place to the production of unmaterial products (knowledge, information, management and organization manners, infomration system concept, etc.). People are increasingly interested in activities characterized by

requirements as (to invent, make sense, organize, mange, make programme, use, etc).

Im order to approach to this aim it is necessay to know and apply procedures of the knowledge gathering, processing and presenting, what is classified in a new concept of cognitive science, what in essence represents theoretical bases of artificial intelligence. These sciences are related to the ergonomics because they introduce a principle “how the man works” instead of the principle “how to imiate the man”. We must more and more know the man as a versatile, conscious and intelligent person which is to realize modem intellectualized solutions, because the majority of solutions of artificial intelligence the man has to use as tools (numerous expert systems, intelligent teams, etc.).

Since form the automatiration, through computerization, the forms of humanization, i.e. intellectualization are reached, the human work and machine symbiosis is formed by means of hibrid intellect, while in evaluation and decision making systems the methods of expert systems are more and more used. In such solutions, the knowledge is processed, and lately thauks to the theory of fuzzy (foggy, uncertain), a bridge between data base and knowledge has been established.

3. Conclusion

Production work humanization as expressive business-production and human category of higher order is under influence of contemporary scientific-technical achievements and industry increased reorientitation to the automatized production-in SO& of this century finally obtained its theoretic-methodologic fund&ions-which in research-design work are providint to it much quicker development and greater application in future.
