stormwater discharges from our facilities.

Operations periodically assess their potential

to pollute stormwater and implement

appropriate controls to minimize impacts,

documenting these in Stormwater Pollution

Prevention Plans.

application of landscape chemicals, such as

fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, to

minimize impacts to stormwater.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Operations implement programs to minimize

the discharge of waste materials into the

environment.

Operations set annual goals for continuous

improvement in waste prevention and

recycling.

When environmental benefits outweigh other

considerations, operations recycle, compost,

recover and/or reuse incoming materials andpackaging, as technologically and

economically feasible.

Operations repair and remanufacture

equipment to increase useful working life.

Inefficient or obsolete equipment is recycled

to prevent inefficient reuse.

Operations establish environmentally

responsible waste storage practices,

such as:

- segregating hazardous and non-hazardous wastes

- controlling litter, odors and pests

- conducting routine inspections of wastestorage areas

- implementing stormwater pollutionprevention controls

Operations use only qualified contractors to

transport or dispose of site-generated

When available, operations use only

government-approved sites for waste

disposal.

Operations evaluate waste disposal sites

before use and periodically thereafter to

verify and document site acceptability.

Operations do not permit the on-site bur

disposal, or open burning of wastes. Wh

on-site incineration is required, facilitiesprovide suitable incinerators to minimize

environmental impact and comply with
