The monitoring programme for the bathing waters is done by Institute of Public Health, during the period May – September in 10 main beaches in Velipoja, Shengjin, Durresi, Lalzi Bay, Kavaja, Vlora, Dhermiu, Himara, Borsh and Saranda.

• This monitoring programme realises :- Hygiene inspection- Microbiologic index, Fecale Coliform (E.Coli) and Intestinal

Enteroccocus.- There are 73 sampling stations.
