It was an excellent opportunity for both year groups to see the book come to life, aiding the Year 11s in revision for their GCSEs and the Year 10s who have just finished studying the book with their teachers. The show was approximately 2hrs long, with a 20min interval. Students were enthralled and engaged from start to finish and fully immersed themselves in the festivities. Apart from enriching students’ cultural capital, the trip also served as an opportunity for all students to be able to use the production as a form of revision and reminder of the key quotes and themes from the Novella. On the journey home, many students were engaged in healthy discussions about some of the themes that permeated the production, with others identifying key similarities and differences between the book version and the play. Holocaust Memorial Day 2020

Holocaust Memorial Day 2020 marks 75 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and was honoured at SCWA during Wellbeing to ensure that the horrors of Auschwitz and other Nazi death camps will not be lost to living memory.

Don’t be content in your life just to do no wrong, be prepared every day to try and do some good.

- Sir Nicholas Winton, who rescued 669 children from Nazi-occupied Europe

Road SafetyWe would like to politely remind parents/carers who drop off and/or collect their child from school to do so with consideration to road parking regulations and other road users.
