It seems that most of the world is relaxing thismonth, no school, no football, no tennis, and thetwo Grand Prix’s are at either ends of the month –looks like we are going to have a British championagain

Ladies should note the article on page 60 about thefree breast cancer screenings available now. Andbig thanks to Wendy at EU insurance direct theCosta Link Car insurance expired and Wendy’squote was almost 200€ cheaper than the others wehad.

Don’t forget the feria at Malaga this month, it’s myfavourite of the year, the streets will be packed andthe partying all day and night. As they say – If youcan’t beat them – join them, Keep using the suncream and I will see you on the beach with thismonths cocktail – A Watermelon Martini (see page42).

This story happened a while ago in Dublin ,and even though it sounds like an AlfredHitchcock tale, it's true.John Bradford, a Dublin University student, was on the side of the road hitchhiking on avery dark night and in the midst of a bigstorm. The night was rolling on and no carwent by. The storm was so strong he couldhardly see a few feet ahead of him.Suddenly, he saw a car slowly comingtowards him and stopped.John, desperate for shelter and withoutthinking about it, got into the car and closedthe door.... only to realize there was nobodybehind the wheel and the engine wasn't on.The car started moving slowly.. John lookedat the road ahead and saw a curveapproaching. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just before the car hit the curve, ahand appeared out of nowhere through the

window, and turned the wheel. John, para-lyzed with terror, watched as the hand camethrough the window, but never touched orharmed him.Shortly thereafter, John saw the lights of apub appear down the road, so, gatheringstrength, he jumped out of the car and ran toit. Wet and out of breath, he rushed inside andstarted telling everybody about the horribleexperience he had just had.A silence enveloped the pub when every-body realised he was crying and wasn'tdrunk. Suddenly, the door opened, and twoother people walked in from the dark andstormy night. They, like John, were alsosoaked and out of breath.Looking around, and seeing John Bradfordsobbing at the bar, one said to the other.....'Look Paddy....there's that idiot that got inthe car while we were pushing it!!!!

Beach Beauty

August is hot and the beach beckons, but don’t head out until you have inyour beach bag all your beauty beach essentials.1) PROTECT PROTECT PROTECT.it sounds obvious but have a goodselection of sunscreen in your bag and make sure your facial sunscreen isat least SPF 30. For the body you have a wide choice of creams, lotions, sprays and oils. My personal favourite is Hawaiian Tropic for that real ‘holi-day’ fragrance. Don’t forget that you should also protect your hair so aleave-in conditioner with SPF will help to keep your locks luscious.2) RELAX & REFRESH. by keeping a cooling water spritz in your beachbag even in those soaring August temperatures you can feelrefreshed and cool all day and make your own simply usingdistilled water with a drop of peppermint essential oil. But,remember to also pop into the bag a small pack of wetwipes, they really are crucial to a day at the beach.3) STAY PRETTY.don’t forget those beauty essentials thatwill keep you looking your best all day. A tinted lip balm witha high SPF will keep the lips moisturised and looking lovely.

A farmer stopped at the local mechanics tohave his truck fixed. They couldn't fix it whilehe waited, so he said he didn't live far andwould just walk home.On the way home he stopped at the DIYshop and bought a bucket and a big tin ofpaint. He then stopped by the pet shop andpicked up a couple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the shop henow had a problem - how to carry his pur-chases home. While he was scratching his head he wasapproached by a little old lady who told himshe was lost. She asked, "Can you tell mehow to get to Mockingbird Lane ?"The farmer said, "Well, as a matter of fact,my farm is very close to there and I’ll walkyou to it, but I can't carry this lot."The old lady suggested, "Why don't you putthe can of paint in the bucket. Carry thebucket in one hand, put a chicken under

each arm and carry the goose in your otherhand?""Why thank you very much," he said andproceeded to walk the old girl to MockingBird Lane .On the way he said "Let's takemy usual short cut and go down this alley. We'll be there in no time."The little old lady looked him over cautiouslythen said, I am a lonely widow without ahusband to defend me. How do I know thatwhen we get in the alley you won't hold meagainst the wall, pull up my skirt, and haveyour wicked way with me?"The farmer said, "Holy smoke lady! I'm car-rying a bucket, a gallon of paint, two chick-ens, and a goose. How in the world could Ipossibly hold you up against the wall and dothat?" The old lady replied, "Set the goosedown, cover him with the bucket, put thepaint on top of the bucket, and I'll hold thechickens..."

This is hysterical. You have to try this. It isabsolutely true. I guess there are somethings that the brain cannot handle.

HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?You have to try this please, it takes 2 sec-onds. I could not believe this! It is from anorthopaedic surgeon.....This will confuseyour mind and you will keep trying over andover again to see if you can outsmart yourfoot, but, you can't. It is pre-programmed in your brain!

1. While sitting at your desk in front of yourcomputer, lift Your right foot off the floor and make clock-wise circles.2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6'in the air With your right hand. Your foot will changedirection.I told you so! And there's nothing you can doabout it!

Weird how that works???! Perhaps you havea hidden talent not yet found? Can you doany of the following ..• Put Your Fist in Your Mouth• Raise One Eyebrow• Lick Your Elbow• Twitch Your Nose• Wiggle Your Ear• Touch Your Nose or Chin With Your Tongue• Roll Your Tongue • Sneeze with YourEyes Open - RowanAtkinson can!• Tickle Yourself

Celeb’s and their money! Here are some ofilluminating prenup’s (past & present) inLaLa land.. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes - KatieHolmes used a prenup to make marryingTom Cruise a more lucrative proposition. Thedetails: for each year the couple stays mar-ried, Holmes collects $3 million or they'vebeen together for 11 years, whichevercomes first. The best part? If they do last thatlong, the prenup is null and void and Holmesreceives half of Cruise's entire fortune. Onehas to wonder what attorney told Cruise thiswould be a good idea! Catherine Zeta-Jones and MichaelDouglas - Next in the "making marriage pay"category is Catherine Zeta-Jones. Herprenup with "Wall Street" star MichaelDouglas entitles her to $2.8 million per eachyear the marriage remains in effect. WhenZeta-Jones was asked about the agreement

she had the following to say: "I think prenups are brilliant," Zeta-Joneschirps in the January issue of Vanity Fair, admitting that under her prenup withDouglas, "I get taken care of very well." Most would probably find this to be a verymercenary approach to marriage but whoare we to comment? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - While Pittwent sans prenup in his marriage to JenniferAniston, he apparently deemed it necessarywith Angelina Jolie. Reports indicate that Pittand Jolie are bound by a prenup that guar-antees Angelina custody of the kids if themarriage goes south. No word on the finan-cial implications of the agreement, but it's asafe bet that Pitt is guarding his $100 millionfortune pretty closely! Stars have evenbeen known to cover pets (dead & alive),babysitters, and pool guys in theirprenups what ever next...........!

..POLICE SEIZE TWELVE ‘BLOW UP DOLLS’ AT LA CALA MARKETThis is a story sent into Costa Link Magazine by Colin Gausden who runsLetsDanceRoc. LetsDanceRoc is Modern Jive (sometimes called CEROC). Colinand his crew teach Modern Jive every night of the week along the coast;Monday in Benalmadena, Tuesday near San Pedro, Wednesday at Torrox Costa,Thursday at Coin and Friday in Duquesa. Colin assures us that every word ofthis story is true - A little while ago I had a bit of a trouble with ‘Inflatable DancePartners’. The story started when I was learning new dance moves from a DVD show-ing on a TV screen in my lounge. Not having a wife or partner to learn the moves withmade it difficult, so a friend told me about a rather ‘seedy’ shop in Fuengirola that sold‘Inflatable Dance Partners’, so I bought one. She came without clothes so I inflatedher, (to make certain I got the size right) and took her off to Dorothy Perkins. I got alot of very strange looks as I carried her under my arm through La Canada shoppingcenter that Saturday morning, the staff at Dorothy Perkins were very nice and if youever need help to dress an Inflatable dance partner I can recommend the girls atDorothy Perkins. They spent a lot of time helping me choose some clothes and shoesfor her. We all finally agreed on a beautiful floral frock and some sling backs. Althoughshe is sort of ‘star shaped’ with a permanently open mouth we got on very well overthe next few months we perfected a lot of the dance moves that I still teach today. The trouble started when my new neighbors looked through my lounge window andsaw me ‘dipping’ her (dipping is dance terminology) and have never spoken to mesince. (I can’t think why, but they are a strange couple). However this concept gavebirth to an idea that should have been a global business success. It actually turnedout to be an enormous failure and I still don’t understand, to this day, why it failed. The plan was, to ensure that we never had any more evenings with more ladies thanmen or vice versa. This was to be achieved by renting out ‘Inflatable Dance Partners’at all the venues. You have to admit, the idea was pure genius! I purchased 6 femaleand 6 male ‘inflatable dance partners’ (They are not actually called ‘Dance Partners’ inthe catalogue). For reasons best known to the people that come to my classes, notone person rented an ‘Inflatable Dance Partner’. The idea failed and all 12 dancepartners have been sitting around my apartment ever since. Visitors sometimes whis-per behind my back – but I’m used to it now. Next week I am moving into a new apart-ment and want to get off on the right foot with the neighbors. Now any sensible peo-ple watching me carrying 12 inflatable dolls into a new house would naturally thinkAhha “We have a dance teacher moving in next door with ‘Inflatable Dance Partners’for single people” but this coast has some ‘odd’ people and they might think I’m theodd one carrying six ‘blow up girls’ and six ‘blow up men’ into the house so I decidedto sell all the ‘Inflatable Dance Partners’, so last Saturday I took a stand at La CalaMarket. I thought that if people didn’t have their own dance partner, my inflatable oneswould sell very quickly.. How wrong I was. The only interest I got was from childrenwho were fascinated by my enormous ‘dolls’ but I have to say as soon as their par-ents saw what they were looking at, the poor kids were dragged off at about 100 milesan hour with the parents shouting abuse at me and calling me some very nastynames. (I’m not going to La Cala market again; people there are not very nice).Eventually the police were called and at first I thought that they were going to buy all12 ‘Dance Partners’, they were showing a lot of interest and then, without a word, started to pick them up and walk off with them with-out paying. The best bit, was that everyone was laughing at them and taking pictures, one lady had a video camera, so look out on ‘You Tube’ for four Spanish policemen carrying ‘Inflatable Dance Partners’ through La Cala market followed by an enormouscrowd of people in absolute hysterics.

To find our venues, visit www.LetsDanceRoc.com or call 635 71 72 11. If you

need a dance partner, there are 6 of each sex and you can collect them any day

from Fuengirola Police Station.

Breast CancerBreast cancer is the most common form ofcancer in women. The lifetime risk of develop-ing breast cancer is one in nine. Each yearthere are approximately 41,000 new diag-noses. The incidence of breast cancer formen is on the increase too with approxi-mately 300 new cases diagnosed yearly in theUK. It has been shown that early detection ofbreast cancer can improve the outcome.Survival rates from breast cancer haveimproved partly in recent years due to earlypresentation and from individuals beingbreast aware.

What Is Breast Awareness?Breast awareness is a process of knowingwhat is normal for you and becoming familiarwith the appearance of your breasts. It isabout being aware of your breasts when car-rying out daily activities such as washing anddressing. By looking and feeling and becom-ing more familiar with your breasts at differ-ent times you can become more breast aware. You do not have to examine your breasts in aparticular way or at a particular time. Do whatfeels best for you and make breast awarenessa normal part of caring for your body. 90% ofcases of breast cancer are detected bywomen themselves or by their partners. Bybeing breast aware and knowing what is nor-mal for you will be able to detect anychanges, should they happen.

Follow the Breast Awareness Five PointCode:• Know what is normal for you• Look and feel• Know what changes to look for• Report any changes without delay• Attend for breast screening

The Normal BreastIt is important to know what is normal toexpect breasts to feel like and also how theycan change throughout your lifetime. Beforethe menopause breasts feel different at differ-

ent times of the month, as they are affectedby the hormonal changes in the milk produc-ing tissue. For some women their breastsmay feel lumpy or tender before a period. After the menopause the breasts will not beaffected by monthly hormonal changes andwill feel less firm, softer and without lumps. Ifyou have had a hysterectomy your breastswill usually show the same monthly changesuntil the time when your periods would havestopped

Changes To Look Out ForWhen looking at and feeling your breasts beaware of anything that is new for you or thatis not normal for you. Look for any changesin the skin, any puckering or dimpling. Lookand feel for any lumps or bumps, especially ifdifferent from the other breast. Be aware ofany pain or discomfort in one breast thatdoes not go away. Also be aware of anychanges in your nipples; any discharge, bleeding or rash or any change in the positionof your nipple. It is important to know what sort of changesto look out for, but it is equally important toreport them to your doctor / Nurse withoutdelay. They are many reasons for breasts tochange and many of them are harmless, butthey all need to be checked out. You will notbe wasting anybody’s time and the earlier anyproblems are detected the easier the treat-ment is likely to be.

Breast Screening ProgrammeThe risk of breast cancer increases with age.80% of breast cancers occur in women overthe age of 50. In Spain, women over the age of50 are offered routine yearly mammograms tohelp detect breast changes at a very earlystage. Women under the age of 50 are offeredbreast screening when the need arises.Though we believe that prevention and earlydetection is your bestline of defense.

The most common cause of ringbone isabnormal stress on the joint, causingjoint surface damage, and subsequentbony development. The abnormal stresscan be in the form of poor conformation, unbalanced shoeing or work on poorground surfaces. Toe in or toe out basewide or base narrow, create increasedweight bearing forces on the inside oroutside of the joint, by causing the horseto land first on the inside or outside ofthe leg.The increased forces can cause micro-damge and microtearing of the joint cap-sule or the collateral ligaments. Thebody’s reaction to this microdamage isinflammation, inflammatory cells releasetoxins that create more tissue damageand thin the joint fluid, and this begins acycle of more tissue damage and moreinflammatory cells. As the damageincreases the body tries to heal, initiallywith scar tissue, which then progressesto a bony development. The length oftime it takes for this to happen, varies asit has many dependent factors. Themore trauma, and the more severe theconformational abnormalities the quickerthe disease progresses. Hoof balance, proper trimming and shoeing are all bigfactors in this disease. Unbalancedhooves, as well as long toe/ low heel, can cause severe stress on joints.Shoeing a horse with shortened toes toincrease break over decreases thestress on joints and helps reduce theinflammation, and can help slow downthe development of the disease. Hardfooting increases trauma to the jointswhile deep footing increases the flexonof the joints leading to possible overflexon and damage to the joint capsule.Horses with ringbone do best with con-sistent low level exercise, horses thatstand still excessively all day long tendto get more inflammation in the joints, and therefore more lame. Constantwalking around field when turned outhelps stimulate circulation and decreaseinflammation within the joint, thereforedecreasing lameness. The amount of

exercise varies depending on thedegree of ringbone, and the tolerance ofthe horse, some horses with this condi-tion are able to maintain a career atlower levels, and often do better if kept ina consistent work programme. Soft foot-ing is better than hard, but to softcause’s overflexion of the joint andincreased inflammation. On the whole if you work alongside yourvet and farrier with good management, you could still be able to enjoy light workwith your horse, I say this as I speakfrom experience having had two horseswith ringbone (one high and one low)that are still enjoying hacking out.Sometimes, front boots can help, espe-cially with a low ringbone, by front bootsI mean , barefoot boots such as Boa orEasy boots , my preference is the OldMac boots as these come in the originalG2,s and the newer version, I am cur-rently using the G2 version on a low ring-bone horse, and he’s going well.Although not designed to be worn 24/7they can be used daily, and are reallygood for hard or uneven ground, somewill say theses boots are expensive, butoffset against the cost of say a year’sshoeing, they are considerably costeffective, and can last you up to 2 yrs iftaken care of. Personally I think they aremoney well spent, especially when yousee the relief from discomfort, they giveto your horse, and as responsible horseowners that what it’s all about, enjoywhets left of the summer, and rememberearly morning or evening rides are bestfor you andy o u rh o r s ethis timeof theyear, sou n t i ln e x tm o n t hh a p p yhacking.

Restaurant review Aug 2010The Far Isle

I had seen the advert in The Costa Link forThe Far Isle so many times in the past andliving in Riveira, I drove past it daily – eachtime thinking, I must try eating there some-time..Then it happened, one day sitting at homeon a beautiful evening, my wife asked doyou fancy going out for dinner tonight? AndI am so glad she did!We were astonished as soon as we gotthere, we chose a table over looking thebeach and the sea, the view was amazing. We started by sharing The Combo Feast, itwas huge – scampi, breaded mushrooms, onion rings, fish goujons, potato wedgesetc. I followed with one of the daily specials,a chilli made with chunky steak rather thanminced beef – it was excellent, and the ricewas perfect. My wife had the fillet steak with

a peppercorn sauce, it was cooked to per-fection and was so tender with loads offlavour, the accompanying vegetables werewell cooked and we both struggled to finishthe very generous portions – but we man-aged. We both decided that we too full fordeserts – until I heard about the day’s spe-cial dessert – a banana bread and butterpudding – wow, it was fantastic and my wifesettled for a Bailey’s coffee. Our whole experience of The Far Isle was apleasure, the staff were so friendly, the set-ting its beautiful and the food delightful. Icannot recommend this jewel of a restaurantenough.

Good Night's Sleep A man goes to visit his 85-year-old grandfather in thehospital. "How are you grandpa?" he asks. "Feeling fine," says the old man. "What's the food like?" "Terrific, wonderful menus." "And the nursing?" "Just couldn't be better. These young nurses really takecare of you." "What about sleeping? Do you sleep OK?" "No problem at all...nine hours solid every night. At 10o'clock they bring me a cup of hot chocolate and a Viagratablet...and that's it. I go out like a light." The grandson is puzzled and a little alarmed by this,so rushes off to question the Sister in charge. "What are you people doing," he says, "I'm toldyou're giving an 85-year-old Viagra on a dailybasis. Surely that can't be true?" "Oh, yes," replies the Sister. "Every night at 10o'clock we give him a cup of hot chocolate and aViagra tablet. It works wonderfully well. The hotchocolate makes him sleep, and the Viagra stops himfrom rolling out of bed."

FFRRIIDDAAYY TTHHEE 1133TTHH

How did Friday the thirteenth becomesuch an unlucky day?Fear of Friday the 13th is rooted inancient, separate bad-luck associationswith the number 13 and the day Friday. The two unlucky entities combine tomake one super unlucky day. There is aNorse myth about 12 gods having adinner party at Valhalla, their heaven. Inwalked the uninvited 13th guest, themischievous Loki. Once there, Lokiarranged for Hoder, the blind god ofdarkness, to shoot Balder the Beautiful, the god of joy and gladness, with amistletoe-tipped arrow. Balder died andthe Earth got dark. The whole Earthmourned. There is a Biblical referenceto the unlucky number 13. Judas, theapostle who betrayed Jesus, was the 13thguest to the Last Supper. A particularlybad Friday the 13th occurred in themiddle ages. On a Friday the 13th in1306, King Philip of France arrested therevered Knights Templar and begantorturing them, marking the occasion asa day of evil. In ancient Rome, witches reportedlygathered in groups of 12. The 13th wasbelieved to be the devil. Both Friday and the number 13 wereonce closely associated with capitalpunishment. In British tradition, Fridaywas the conventional day for publichangings, and there were supposedly 13steps leading up to the noose. It istraditionally believed that Eve temptedAdam with the apple on a Friday.Tradition also has it that the Flood in theBible, the confusion at the Tower ofBabel, and the death of Jesus Christ alltook place on Friday. Numerologistsconsider 12 a "complete" number. Thereare 12 months in a year, 12 signs of thezodiac, 12 gods of Olympus, 12 labors ofHercules, 12 tribes of Israel, and 12

apostles of Jesus. In exceeding 12 by1, 13's association with bad luck has to dowith just being a little beyondcompleteness.

FRIDAY THE 13TH - how is fear of thenumber thirteen demonstrated?

More than 80 percent of high-rises lack a13th floor.

Many airports skip the 13th gate.

Airplanes have no 13th aisle.

Hospitals and hotels regularly have noroom number 13.

Italians omit the number 13 from theirnational lottery.

On streets in Florence, Italy, the housebetween number 12 and 14 is addressedas 12 and a half.

Many cities do not have a 13th Street ora 13th Avenue

In France, socialites known as thequatorziens (fourteeners) once madethemselves available as 14th guests tokeep a dinner party from an unluckyfate.

Many triskaidekaphobes, as those whofear the unlucky integer are known, point to the ill-fated mission to themoon, Apollo 13.

If you have 13 letters in your name, youwill have the devil's luck .

Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, JeffreyDahmer, Theodore Bundy and Albert DeSalvo all have 13 letters in their names.

Watch out Friday the 13th islooming its ugly head this month! Will you be cowering under the

duvet all day.....

Strange but true...

Leading in Football, Lagging in the EconomyIn the economy as in football, Spain has undergone a tremendous transfor-

mation in the last decade. Doubling its GDP and rapidly increasing its popu-

lation, the Spanish economy has broken several records, including a 15-year

expansion with a profitable banking sector, a world class system of high-

speed trains and a robust fiscal outlook—but also a highly overvalued hous-

ing market and a very dual labour market.

Similarly, the national football team has transitioned rapidly from being the

eternal squad of underachievers who would always stumble at the important

moments (prior to this year Spain had not progressed past World Cup quar-

ter-finals since 1950), to European and World Champions in a space of two

years.

Spain’s football results are better than regression analysis based on income,

population and soccer experience would predict. The ‘fury’, as the national

squad had been traditionally known, became ‘the Red’, and its elegant style

of play of ‘progressive possession’

has become the topic of discussion

at FIFA conferences.

Both the economy and the national

squad stumbled in 2009, with a

sharp recession and the unexpect-

ed defeat against the US during the

2009 Confederations Cup semi-final.

But the economy is lagging badly in

2010, whereas the football squad

have achieved No.1 FIFA world

Ranking.

There is something that the Spanishfootball team is doing very well thatSpain’s economic policy-makers aremissing.FIFA World Cup Rankings : World GDP Ranking :World Cup Football Saves Spain'sEconomy from Collapse ?The victory of the Spaniards over the Dutch in the World Cup will help the

economy, experts say. The euphoria of the victory improves the mood of the

population, and the population in a good mood begins to spend more money

and shop more frequently. According to ING and ABN Amro banks, the gold

medal of the Spanish national team will boost the country's GDP growth by

0.25-0.5%. Six months ago, Spain's stock market index IBEX-35 fell by 15.8%

and was among the worst in Europe. But during the World Cup the index

instantly won back 5.2%.

However, Industry Minister Miguel Sebastian said that

after the victory in South Africa experts raised the

economic forecasts and ratings of Madrid, which

has a positive impact on the image of Spain in

the international market and helps the country

to end the year in the black. It is worth

noting that after the victory of Italy in

the World Championship in 2006.

LOCKSMITHS

ABN Amro economists have revised growth forecast for the Italian economy

from 0.2 to 1.7%. The increase was even greater. According to Eurostat , the

GDP grew by 2%. “Improved image of Spain will actively sell our products and

services in other

countries such as China, where they like our team,” Bloomberg quoted the

Minister

of Industry of Spain.

2018 World Cup Host CompetitionSpain/PortugalStrengthsSpain hosted a successful World Cup in 1982 and Portugal a successful Euro

Championship in 2004. Both nations have a huge footballing tradition. Between

them, they have sufficient stadiums and offer an enjoyable tourist destination

at close

proximity for fans from central Europe, the Middle East and northern Africa.

Politically, they may be expected to win the South and Central American votes

over England or Russia, but they have kept a low profile during the bidding

process.

WeaknessesThere is very little opportunity for the sport to grow as a result of a World Cup

in this region, and FIFA has also typically frowned upon joint bids unless

absolutely unavoidable. Aside from the large capacity stadium in each of

Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon, spectator attendance would be greatly restricted

by small venues, and neither government appears to be interested in pouring

Using a ready made paste gives youtime to kick back while dinner simmers - • Large knob of butter

• 2 onions finely chopped

• 2 green chillies deseeded and sliced

• Bunch of coriander, leaves picked and

stalks finely chopped

• 8 chicken thighs or drumsticks

couple of minutes then stir in the tinned

Golf Golf TTips And ips And TrTricksicksUphill & Downhill Lies

Slopes are one of those things that arethere on every golf course from smallmounds to hills they are that built in trapthat if you don't set up correctly to play yourshot will catch you out.

As every golfer knows set up is 95% of thegolf shot if you are set in the wrong positionyou will play a bad shot

Uphill1. More club is needed than normaldependent on the slope the ball will flyhigher.2. Aim to the right of target because thelegs will be restricted in the follow throughand your hands will take over and close theblade.3. Place more weight on the lower foot.4. Align your body with your aim not the ballto target line.5. Set the ball position nearer the higherfoot so the clubhead can follow the contourof the slope.6. Take a normal swing action rememberinga full free follow through is restricted bygravity and the upslope

Downhill1. Take less club as the club will be deloftedas it follows the contour2. Aim the blade to the left as the ball will cutor slice in flight.3. More weight to the lower foot as theshoulders are set level to the slope theamount determined by the severity of theslope.4. Align your body parallel to the blade aimyou have selected to accommodate theslope.5. Set the ball position nearer the higherfoot to encourage the clubhead to follow thecontour of the slope.6. Take a normal swing movement keepingyour legs well flexed concentrating on hol-ing your posture through impact

Your friends will want more timethan you have to give this month ,theother tug on your energies will befamily. A family issue that's been leftunresolved may resurface - and you'llhave no choice but to work it out assoon as possible. Don't be afraid toask for help.

One of your best qualities is yourability to maintain emotional stabili-ty. You have a continued urge tomake changes in your physicalappearance. Then there's your emo-tional feelings - which basically meanmore personal changes. Cooperatewith them all. Recreate yourself!

Oh, my, Leo! You have quite an Augustahead of you. Review whatever it isthat's been keeping you from achiev-ing the financial success you want. Then there's your yearning torearrange not just your home, butyour life. If you've been craving achange, you certainly won't be bored!

You've got a major month ahead ofyou, there's just no way that at leastone person from the past won't trytheir best to re enter your life. Ifyou're game, have new solutions tothe old problems that drove youapart – And be careful not to go overold ground!

You'll need to find a way to get alongwith others during August withoutattracting the attention of spectatorswho will want to see the show! Ifanyone can do it, it's you. You're theMaster Balancer. You just may feel abit "stretched" at times.

As if that's notenough to get you into some delightfultrouble, it's time to say everythingyou've been dying to say. Stop worry-ing about how to say it! Just let it out!

SSTTAARR SSIIGGNNSS

If you're attached, be sure your part-ner knows that you're only beingpolite when you answer a note orcall from an "old friend." If not, besure that your heart is ready forround two, especially if that "oldfriend" left wondering what hap-pened when the relationship ended.

You'll want to focus on relationshipsin August. You'll also be worriedabout neglecting your career andyour finances around the 16th.Fortunately, several planetary allieswill assist you in making sure thatthose departments work out just fine.Anything you wish for can happen.

Love is always at the top of your sen-sual sign's priority list, especially thismonth - and it may involve a certainsomeone you've admired for a longtime. You may need to keep yourrelationship a secret for the moment, especially if one or both of you aren'tquite available just yet.

A look at what's in store for you during August...
