When you visit us…
You can expect to find your friendly neighbor, assembled to worship God the Father, and proclaim the love and grace He has given to us; and remember Jesus, the Christ, our example—our Savior. We will strive always to provoke love and good deeds of one another.
As in the 1st Century New Testament Church, our worship to God is simple - without mankind’s rituals. You will find a wholesome respect for the Word of God as inspired by the Holy Spirit. We study only the Holy Scriptures—no human creeds will be used by us.
In addition to the worship of our Creator, we strive to fulfill our Savior’s stated plan for us by sharing His Gospel message with this community and throughout the world.
Sermons every Sunday will be based wholly upon the Word of God. They will be Christ - centered and Biblically based so we can develop a deepening relationship with God through our understanding and personal involvement with Him and His truth in our everyday life.

Can We Trust The Bible Rick Popejoy
Had God given us everything that pertains to life and godliness (1 Peter 1:3)? Is the Bible profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16)? Can a man who believes and practices what the scriptures teach be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto every good work (2 Timothy 3:17)? Is the New Testament a law of faith (Romans 3:29)? If these are true, and they are, then the New Testament is also an established pattern for the church, whether it be for entrance, or retention, or for its organization and worship.
Many ask, “How can the scripture, a mere book, be so powerful?” Paul anticipates such a question in 2 Timothy 3:16. He simply says, “All scripture is given by God.” All scripture is God-breathed; it is the product of God’s breath. Paul rules out the idea that scripture is the product of human ingenuity, thought or decision. It is not a potpourri of ideas reflecting the philosophy’s of Moses, Jeremiah, Paul and others. Scripture reflects the mind of God given in words by the Spirit unto men who recorded those words without error. To the Romans, Paul exclaimed that the gospel “is the power of God unto salvation” (Romans 1:16). Mere human words would not be so described!
Some would say, “Are you not making a mountain our of a mole hill?” No! I believe we are making a mountain out of a mountain. A story is told about telegraphers in the early days when they did not spell out punctuation in the process of transmitting a message. A wealthy lady on vacation in Europe wired her husband asking permission to purchase a very expensive item. The husband wired back, “No. Expensive too great.” Without the punctuation, the message read “No expense too great.” The lady bought the item, to the dismay of both husband and the telegraph company. From that time on, telegraphers spelled out the punctuation on all telegraph messages. The story illustrates how important “minor” details are.
At one time, in the not too distant past, the church of Christ was described as the fastest growing church in America, but during this time there was an unmistakable shallowness. I am firmly convinced that we have seen over this past generation a weakening in doctrinal concerns. Emphasis has been on either a “let me entertain you” philosophy, or a “peace at all cost” doctrine. We have seen confusion and uncertainly in all sorts of surprising places with regard to basic beliefs (e.g. the use of mechanical instruments in worship, the use of women in leadership roles over men, etc.) and in particular with regard to the nature and use of the Bible. When there is uncertainty here, you can expect to find it everywhere else!
Who would have thought that in the 1990’s the church would have become so enlightened that the word of God is discarded as having no more authority than the mere ideas of human beings. We have seen churches, schools, and once faithful gospel preachers slip away in the past generations, from the Bible and sound doctrine. If we are going to solve the problem, we must put a halt to the pacifying of sinful men, and go straight to the root cause, our attitude toward scripture. The only thing that is going to shed any light is the Word of God (2 Peter 1:16-21). Can I trust the Bible? “Let God be true, but every man a liar” (Romans 3:4).
A few words… “…that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5). As God speaks to us through John’s letters, He wants to assure us that He provides us with His truth and we can trust in that. So many places throughout His word, He reminds us that He is trustworthy, patient, righteous, just and especially loving.
“In Him, there is no darkness.” That is hard for us, as humans, to fully understand, because so much of the world around us is consumed in darkness. It shows up in many ways. In everything from selfishness to hatred to deceitfulness. When we consider the motives of men, we see that so many people today are only concerned about themselves and what pleases them.
God reminds us in so many places in His word that we must love others, and it has always been His plan. If we are to be of God, then we must His words to us in 1 Corinthians 13 – Now abide these three – faith, hope and love – and the greatest of these is love. So, count on the God and the everlasting truth of His word.
~ Terry 1 John 3:11; 23
11 For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another
23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
*** Cancelled *** All Church Activities
Due to the concerns of the COVID-19 virus
leading to orders from all levels of
government, all church activities are
cancelled through the end of April.
Our plan at this time is to resume our
scheduled worship on May 3rd. The elders
will continue to monitor the situation and
communicate regularly with our brethren.
We will continue to post weekly sermons and
bulletins on the website during this time.
Please continue your fervent prayers during
these difficult times.
God is with us and we know that it is His will
that will be done.
