WHAT: Opening Reception for A Softer Storm and Line of FlightWHERE: MAINSITE Contemporary Art, 122 E. Main
WHEN: 6 to 10 p.m.ABOUT: MAINSITE presents the opening reception for Elise Deringer’s A Softer
Storm and Mohammad Javaheri’s Line of Flight. The two solo exhibitions were finished in the artist studios located above MAINSITE over the course of the past year.
Deringer’s work is centered on loose recollections of landscapes created through a variety of materials like paint, ink, dyes, salt, stone and sand, while Javaheri creates
large scale oil paintings showcasing movement with layered, kinetic brush strokes. The Library Gallery showcases new work by James Hammontree, an Oklahoma City artist
and musician who performs with bands like Power Pyramid and Sex Snobs. Printmaker and illustrator Tiffany McKnight will have pieces on display in the Water Closet Gallery.
WHAT: Children’s Summer Art Class ShowWHERE: Firehouse Art Center, 444 S. Flood
WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: Firehouse Art Center hosts an exhibition of work done in the children’s art classes (ages 5-13) over the summer break. Meet the lil’ artists behind the whimsical,
colorful art pieces.

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: The Depot ushers out This Is Our Oklahoma Land, a solo exhibition of photographys by Kim Baker celebrating the landscape of Oklahoma, with a closing reception. There will be live music by Mark McClellan & Friends and
