WHEN: 6 to 10 p.m.ABOUT: MAINSITE Contemporary Art: Home of the Norman Arts Council is excited to debut the abstract expressionism-inspired exhibit Re-Action Painting from Norman painter Don Holladay, featuring an ecletic variety of works he has created in the past

few years. MAINSITE also welcomes NAC Individual Artist Award winner Rebecca Bruehl into the Library Gallery and Jay McMillen into the Water Closet Gallery. Free

WHAT: Firehouse Art Center’s 2014 Holiday Gift GalleryWHERE: Firehouse Art Center, 444 S. Flood

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: Firehouse Art Center is hosting its annual Holiday Gift Gallery. This festive,

yearly expansion of the Firehouse’s gift shop into the gallery exhibition space provides an opportunity for the FAC to highlight and support local artists by showcasing their work for sale to the public. The Holiday Gift Gallery inclues a wide assortment of original and handmade artwork on high-quality crafts, including ceramic vessels, blown-glass, vases,

wooden toys, jewelry, textiles and more.

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: The Depot Gallery is open with a reception for its fourth annual Small Works Show, which features works from Rick Fry, Almira Grammer, Brad Price,

Bert Seabourn and John Seward. Cimarron Opera also invites you to attend their Inaugral Holiday Sing Along, including performances of selected holiday favorites

and spirited sing alongs of beloved songs of the season.

WHAT: Print Print Boom! + Fowler VW/Blackwatch Studios Christmas Party & ConcertWHERE: STASH, 412 E. Main

WHEN: 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.ABOUT: STASH is hopping as always with a bevy of fun events, including Print Print Boom! A print market featuring work done by OU art students in the Intermediate and

Advanced Screenprinting classes this semester. There’s also a free concert and Christmas Party in celebration of the 5th Annual Christmas Record sponsored by Fowler VW and

Blackwatch Studios. The all-ages event includes live music, refreshments, Red Bull products and giveaways — including vinyl copies of the record — as supplies last.

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: Shevaun Williams & Associates is featuring recent works by American folk artist Rick Sinnett, who is currently working on the mural on the Financial Building in Downtown Norman. There is also Coiffure Excentrique, a hair exhibit by Nathan Andrew inspired by eccentricity for a raw, gritty experience with textural elements

and a focus on contrast with live models/demonstrations. Finally, there’s The World in Living Color, recent images from around the world by Shevaun Williams.

design firm is open and showcasing the 12 Days of Christmas-themed work of resident artist Josh Davis, along with drinks, snacks and a live DJ: Grapevine Gossip.

Boop Collection. Edwards is inspired by mythology, nature and the universe.

from A Mirage Dance Company. There are specials on Oracle and Tarot Readings and free 10 minute healing energy sessions as the store showcases local artists and

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: Sandalwood & Sage welcomes special guest artists John McGaha and Leah Kenton-McGaha. The husband-and-wife duo is a store tradition with their Celtic Yule compilations. Bo Easton with be making custom ornaments, as well, with a workshop

planned for the following Saturday.

WHAT: 10th Annual Tree Photo ContestWHERE: First Fidelity Bank, 131 E. Main

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: First Fidelity Bank hosts the 10th Annual Tree Photo Contest, organized by the Norman Parks Foundation each year to promote awareness of the beauty and value of trees in the Norman community

through the art of photography. There are approximately 250 photos to see, along with live music, refreshments and an opportunity

to vote for the People’s Choice Award.

Tulsa. His paintings are a new form of contemporary portrait that are clean, cold and heavy with an artistic hand. Join them for a unique exhibit, snacks and refreshments.

WHAT: 2nd Friday Concert Series: Tallows with Cleanup & Moongiant + Pop-Up ShopWHERE: Opolis, 113 N. Crawford

WHEN: 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.ABOUT: Norman Arts Council and Norman Music Festival present the 2nd Friday Concert Series, this time with an indie-heavy lineup that includes Tallows’ last-show in the metro until late spring 2015, math rockers Cleanup out of Ft. Worth and the pretty indie folk stylings of Moongiant. The show is at Opolis, doors open at 8 p.m.

with the show starting at 9. 21+ only! Opolis is hosting a special pop-up shop featured heat transfers, old records, movie posters & original Matt Goad paintings, too!

WHAT: Random Noise: Lost Empires & ShishioWHERE: Guestroom Records, 125 E. Main

WHEN: 7:15 p.m.ABOUT: Norman Arts Council and Guestroom Records are collaborating to bring you Random Noise, an eclectic series bringing you even more free music during the art walk.

This month we’ve got the experimental noise rock of Shishio along with heavy metal outfit Lost Empires. It’ll start at 7:15 p.m. and wrap up before 9!

WHAT: The Sleepless ContinuumWHERE: Fancy That, 215 E. Main

WHEN: 9:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.ABOUT: Fancy That has the instrumental, progressive, jazz-based rock of The Sleepless

Continuum. The show is free and starts at 9:30 p.m.

WHEN: 7 p.m.ABOUT: The Bluebonnet Bar is hopping with poetry from Andy Bowen and Robert Spencer, music by Kierston White and We Dream Dawn and art by J. Chris Johnson (paintings) and Marissa Johnson (photography). They will also

be accepting donations of winter survival supplies (coffee, hot chocolate, socks, gloves, etc.) for Food and Shelter for Friends all night!

WHAT: Performance by Blake & Codi + Jeff Provine Book SigningWHERE: Michelangelo’s Coffee & Wine Bar
