PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH (unison)O God, you have built your Church upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Save the community of your people from cowardly surrender to the world, from rendering Caesar what belongs to you, and from forgetting the eternal gospel amid the temporal pressures of our troubled days. For the unity of the Church we pray, and for fellowship across the embittered lines of race and nation;

to growth in grace, building in love, enlargement in service, increase in wisdom, faith, charity and power, we dedicate our lives; through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen

Help pack Comfort Kits!You are invited to join volunteers who care about children in foster care in Frederick County on Tuesday August 6 from 7:00-8:30 pm in Parish Hall to pack kits for the children to comfort them when they are one home to another. This is a typical challenge for children, and many

of them end up moving their belongings in a garbage bag. Comfort kits are packed in suitcases, duffle bags, or other permanent bags which the children can keep for themselves and use whenever they need to move. It give them dignity and comfort. The bags will also have toys, blankets and/or other items to bring them comfort during a time in their life which can be very traumatic.
