OPENING PRAYER (unison)God of abundant grace, may your Holy Spirit be with us now as we worship you this day. Open our eyes to truly see one another, that we might discover your presence in the smile of a neighbor. Open our ears to the needs of the world, that we might hear your wisdom in the words spoken around us. And open our hearts to your grace and love, that we might find guidance and strength for the journey, for ourselves and for one another. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYEROur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. 2020 Lenten Study Calvary Church will be providing weekly a church-wide study each Wednesday evening during the Lenten season starting on Wednesday, March 4.

Join us this Lenten season as we drawn on the recent work of Adam Hamilton, popular author and lead pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas. Hamilton is the author of The Walk: Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life. We will discover five essential spiritual practices rooted in Jesus’ own walk with God. In each week and chapter of the book, we will explore one of these practices: its New Testament foundation, and its potential effect on our personal lives and how it might shape our lives together as the church.
