Maintaining Health & Wellness Taking measures to maintain a healthy lifestyle in a connected society.Recently, Toluna ran a Toluna QuickSurvey™ study asking 1,000 respondents in Singaporeabout their health and wellness habits.
Women report spending slightly more,on average, on health and beauty products for their own personal use within a month. 33% of men spend $20 or less each month. 30% of women spend less than $20 each month. However, Singaporean men are reported to be more likely to have a higher investment on themselves in terms of health and beauty (24% of men spend more than $50 per month, while only 19% for women).
Reasons for purchase of premium brands include believing that the products are of ‘better quality and e�ect’, ‘reliability’, ‘safety’, and in some cases due to the skin condition (sensitive skin/allergy).

As one would suspect, most people that use Apps to monitor their fitness activities, diet, etc. tend to be younger. Of those surveyed, 38% of 18-34 year olds either currently, or have used apps to assist in keeping fit, while 33% of 35 – 54 year olds, and 28% of 55+ have used apps for this purpose. Apps that record diet and exercise and fitbit were the most commonly used.
One of the biggest discrepancies noticed is around hand washing. 88% of women as opposed to 78% of men focus on washing their hands on a regular basis to stay healthy. Women are more likely to have dietary cleansing and have regular eyesight, hearing, dental checks than men as well.
