“Visiting Matera…”

We were travelling the whole day. It was an exhausting day, but we were all very excited!!!!

23-02-2014 At the morning, we met the students who were to put us up. Afterwards, we went to school, were we joined a “Welcome ceremony” and we met the students from Italy and the other European countries. I got really surprised by the friendly atmosphere. Laughter, smiles and happiness spread all around the school…

During the “Treasure Hunt”….

We were toured around the old town of Matera- Sassi-, dealing with mathematical issues. Picturesque buildings, monasteries and churches since the Middle Ages and a stunning view are the most impressing characteristics of this place!!!

24-02-2014 “On Pythagoras’s footsteps”

We visited the Metaponto, a Greek colony. It is believed that Pythagoras taught in Metaponto. The imposing monuments, the Doric temple and the archeological museum reveals the glory of that ancient times.

Later at the evening, we were free so we found the chance to go out for a coffee….
