CALENDAR:

ICSE/ISC: The school year is divided into two semesters. The first semester runs from April to September. The second semester runs from October to March. The typical school day is from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm (Monday till Thursday) and till 3.00 pm on Fridays. The schedule is organized on a 10-11 period basis of 30 minutes each.

ISC: In Grades XI-XII, a full report is issued twice a year. For Grade XII students, for the purpose of admission to colleges/universities, the school predicts grades for all students in September. The Mid Year Report is issued in January and the Final Report is issued by the Council after the Board Examinations in May. The class size of the graduating year 2015-16 is 109 students.

Achievement Scales:The ISC assessment is in percentages for all subjects. The school assesses it’s students in percentages and gives a predicted percentage as well.

Leadership Programme of tGELF (The Global Education Leadership Foundation):This is an initiative of an NGO the Nand and Jeet Khemka foundation. tGELF has partnered with over 45 schools all over India, and The Shri Ram School is considered their flagship school. The underlying ethos is the fostering and nurturing of ethical leadership skills in children. The programme begins in Grade VIII for all children. After Grade X, ten percent of the children are selected through a process involving nomination and interviews to form the Leadership Club headed by the Leadership Coordinator. Our students have been awarded the title ‘Khemka Scholar' and have been awarded scholarships to attend summer placement programmes in Brown, Cornell, Lehigh University and the University of Pennsylvania.

International Exchange Programmes attended by students:

CO-CURRICULAR AND COMMUNITY SERVICE:The school offers a wide range of activities such as music, drama, debate, quizzing, clay pottery, film appreciation and film making. A number of inter-school events such as the 'Shri Debate', 'Shri Tech Quiz' 'Shri Khoj'(Inter School Science Competition) and 'Shri Basketball' are hosted each year. The school students are encouraged to be a part of or head various societies in the school including Dance, Debate, Model United Nations, Music, Science, Heritage, Computer and Economics Society. They also create and manage their own blogs. The school has a strong Environment and Community Service Programme. It was the first school in Delhi to start Rainwater Harvesting. The school has initiated the Balwadi Programme, wherein students of the school (ICSE and IB) teach children of migrant construction labourers. This is done with the aim of sensitizing the students and giving them a deeper understanding to the lives of children in rural areas, the issues and hardships they face. The Special Education Needs Department provides inclusive educational opportunities to children with special needs. Our main objective is to integrate children into the mainstream wherever possible as well as providing an adapted or functional curriculum according to the needs of the student. In certain cases, the National Open School is offered as an alternate curriculum.
