For the Month of July CrossFit Fever wanted to reach out to one of our “OGs” and get the inside scoop on her continuous success and dedication to CrossFit.
Mercedes is a local school teacher, wife and mother of two. However, with such a demanding life she still manages to make it to CrossFit on a regular basis and impress those who workout with her.
This August Mercedes will reach her one Year mark at CrossFit Fever and within that time she has managed to be one of our top competitors and be within the first girls to do a kipping PULLUP at CFF!
As an added bonus she so happens to be an excellent cook, so we are please to share one of her excellent Paleo recipe treats below!
Caren:What do you love about CrossFit?
Mercedes:What I love about CrossFit is the friendly competition. This has been the HARDEST yet FUNNEST thing I have ever done!
Caren:What is your Favorite WOD?
Mercedes:My favorite WOD has to be Badger.
It was super hard and it took me forever to do it, but it was the first time I was able to complete a WOD involving pull-ups without a band (Rx BABY!!!)”
Caren:Most Memorable Moment at CrossFit?
Mercedes:My favorite moment was the first time I Rx'd a WOD (thanks to my
husband's push). The WOD was hard, but the feeling
of accomplishment was tremendous!
Caren:What is your next goal?
Mercedes:My next goal is simply to get into the best shape I can and be as healthy as I can. I have to be able to keep up with my kids (who are now CrossFit Fever Teens)
Caren:Thank You Mercedes for sharing with us and truly being an inspiration to all CrossFitters.

Did you know?
A lot of our athletes have drastically changed their appearance not only by CrossFitting but by introducing the Paleo Diet to their daily routine.
As we all know, part of the way to a healthier life is watching what we eat; however, a lot of time we just don't have the time to cook or run out of ideas to make our health food taste good.
At CrossFit Fever we have a "Serving The Soul Healthy Meals Delivery and Catering Company" that deliver fresh food everyday to the box.
“Serving The Soul is a catering service that provides fully cooked breakfasts,
lunches, and dinners that are guaranteed to fuel your healthy lifestyle. With
meals well balanced in portion, flavor, and nutrients, our program is designed to
aid in healthy weight loss and maintenance, for everyone from the working
mother to the elite CrossFitter.
We also cater specifically to your diet needs, whether that entails Diabetic,
Gluten Free, Paleo, or Zone. Our fresh, never frozen meals are made with all
natural ingredients, salt free seasoning, and no msg, fillers, or binders.
Delivered on a daily basis in 100% microwave/dishwasher safe and “Green”
containers, your new meal plan couldn’t be easier, healthier, or more
economical!” -STS

September
Take a second and really analyze this quote:
"The soul of an athlete can change the game. The heart of an athlete can change the world."
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 17th, 2011 as the day you give it all you got for only 17 minutes.
Fever will be participating in the world wide event, in which all CrossFit gyms will take part of Fight Gone Bad 6!!!!!!
Ask yourself. Who are you fighting for?
You will NOT give up .. you WILL give it all you have. Think about the wounded heroes and warriors that have given up their life for our country .. they do not get to go home and we do.
Think about someone that you know who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness.. they do not get a chance to live their lives and WE DO.
WE WILL FIGHT FOR WHOEVER WE WANT BUT WE WILL PUT ON A DAMN GOOD FIGHT!!!! -NM
