FROM THE PASTORAL ASSOCIATE
IDALIA NIEVES-REYES
During the first half of 2018, we have been blessed with your
generosity and dona"ons to our SJP2 Pantry. Our goals
impact an average of 80 families and 370 individuals per
month. We could not reach and conserve these goals without
your con"nued support to this Ministry.
Our volunteers are commi#ed to the Pantry offering their
"me every month for the success of this Ministry. We invite
you to join our team of volunteers, so that you can par"ci-
pate in a great experience of service to others. All you need
to do is get in touch with the Associate Pastoral, Idalia Nieves
-Reyes in the parish office 744-3695 ext. 118. We’ll be happy
to enlarge our team.
We urge all of our parishioners to con"nue suppor"ng the
Pantry as they have always done. The most used items in the
Pantry are the following: rice, pinto beans, corn, cooking oil,
sugar, toilet paper, tomato sauce, tuna and sweetened
cereal. You can bring the items and deposit them in the
plas"c bins iden"fied in the ves"bules of the Churches, or
take them to the parish office during regular business hours.
Durante la primera mitad del año 2018, hemos sido bendeci-
dos con su generosidad y aportaciones a nuestra Despensa
SJP2. Nuestras metas de impactar un promedio de 80 familias
y 370 individuos mensuales han sido logradas. No podríamos
alcanzar y conservar estas metas sin su ayuda con nuestro
Ministerio.
Nuestros voluntarios están comprome"dos con la Despensa
ofreciendo su "empo cada mes por el éxito de este
Ministerio. Los invitamos a unirse a nuestro equipo de
voluntarios, para que par"cipe de una gran experiencia de
servicio al prójimo. Lo único que necesitas hacer es ponerte
en contacto con la Pastoral Asociada, Idalia Nieves-Reyes en
la oficina parroquial 744-3695 ext. 118. Estaremos felices de
agrandar nuestro equipo.
Exhortamos a toda nuestra feligresía a que con"núe apoyan-
do la Despensa como lo han hecho siempre. Los ar&culos más
usados en la Despensa son los siguientes: arroz, frijol pinto,
maíz, aceite de cocinar, azúcar, papel higiénico, salsa de
tomate, atún y cereal azucarado. Pueden traer los ar&culos
y depositarlos en los baúles iden"ficados en los ves&bulos
de las Iglesias, o llevarlos a la oficina parroquial en horas
laborables.

In the Gospel today, we celebrate the birth of John the
Bap$st and everyone pondered the ques$on: “What, then,
will this child be? For surely the hand of the Lord was with
him.” This month, “the hard of the Lord has been ac!ng
through you” as your gi"s, to the SVDP brought his love and
care to the poor and our food pantry families. Thank you for
your con!nued support.
En el Evangelio de hoy, celebramos el nacimiento de Juan el
Bau$sta y todos reflexionamos sobre la pregunta: “¿Qué
llegará a ser este niño? Porque ciertamente la mano del
Señor estaba con él”. Este mes, "la mano del Señor ha
estado actuando a través de usted" así también, con sus
donaciones a la Sociedad de San Vicente de Paúl que llevó
su amor y cuidado a los pobres al ayudar a familias,
proporcionando alimentos. ¡Gracias!
