The tower will be drained, inspected, and resurfaced inside and out to protect the tower from corrosion and ensure overall water quality. The project will take 60 days from start to finish during this time we will be using the connection with Asheville's system to maintain system water pressure. No change in usage is required during this time. Scioto Estates Billing Change The last individual water meter readings by the village for Scioto Estates customers will be June 20th. Bills will be generated the week after and will be due on July 15th. Any delinquent accounts will be shut off and/or deposits that were collected by the village applied to your account before being closed. If the final payment is payed to the Village and your account is current and having a zero balance your deposit will be refunded. Refunds will be paid out in batches as they are confirmed by village council and CFO bi weekly. Trash will still be billed each month by the village and will be due on the same schedule as your current utility bill. Price will remain the same on trash. Billing Errors To all residents, I am fully aware of the billing issues everyone has experienced over the last several months, this has impacted a large portion of our residents including council members and some village employees. This is a result of several issues including repeated human error, limitations of the billing software, and a general lack of understanding by village employees and myself on how the billing system works. The first part of resolving the issue is understanding the problem and I feel this has been accomplished. I can report today that between Tyann, Iris and Joe they have made great strides in fixing the issues with the current system, we are scheduled to upgrade the billing software in August to eliminate most of the issues we have experienced. This along with the new meters and training will reduce errors, confusion, and the frustration everyone has dealt with. Myself and the Village staff would like to thank everyone for your patience during this transition any questions please contact the office staff or myself. Hope to see everyone on June 11th at the Village park Sincerely, Matt Pettibone Mayor
