Bremont and Martin-Baker Testing Programme

Time began for Bremont when we embarked on a journey to make beautifully crafted pilot’s watches of exceptional quality. Flying historic aircraft has been in our blood from an early age, as has our love for watches and all things mechanical.

The timepieces had to be tested beyond any normal call of duty (and not just in the workshop), and of course be immensely precise and durable. We make our watches to a very high specification for the price point and every watch in our standard range is Chronometer certified. We stand by our product and are one of the few companies offering a 3 year warranty on every watch we produce.

Bremont has always had a very tight working relationship with the military, and as a result, operates very closely with multiple squadrons around the world to help them develop bespoke mechanical chronometers that closely mirror their Squadron’s DNA. Working in line with Bremont’s core principles, we have been able to do something that no other luxury watch brand has been able to do - deliver mechanical watches that are uncompromisingly Bremont, but also very unique on a Squadron level.

the f-15 “eaGle Driver”

The Bremont F-15 “Eagle Driver” takes its inspiration from the world renowned Boeing F-15A-D Eagle, designated by many as the “World’s Greatest Air Superiority Fighter”. Originally developed and built by McDonnell Douglas in the 1970’s, the Eagle has amassed an astounding victory record of 104 kills to zero losses, an achievement that puts it in contention for the title of the greatest fighter ever made. Designed with inputs from US Air Force F-15C pilots, this mechanical chronometer is a must have for anyone that has flown the mighty Eagle. There have been many F-15 squadron watches created over the years, but in classic Bremont

style, we have done things a bit differently. Bremont has incorporated the coveted “Eagle Driver” patch into the design. The “swirl” is engraved into the watch face culminating with the Eagle planform at 10 o’clock. The signature “Eagle Cranium” is reduced and shown at 6 o’clock with “Eagle Driver” printed beneath. Only the numerals of 12, 3, 6, and 9 are shown as tribute to the classic clock positions that all fighter pilots use in flight. The letters WGASF are subdued and printed at the base. On the back of the watch, the bespoke rotor shows the classic F-15 missile load of 4xAIM120s, 2xAIM7s, and 2xAIM9s (9M and 9X). The case back will also be engraved with pilot call sign or any 8 digit personal designator. The combination of these features culminate in a watch that represents the F-15’s dominance and reputation as the most lethal air superiority fighter in modern military history.

This watch is based on the highly anticipated Boeing Model 1, and will be the first military edition ever to use this new design. Boeing has given Bremont exclusive access to materials technology, and the watch case will be made using Boeing 465 stainless steel. Bremont and Boeing are proud to collaborate to create what we believe is the ultimate aviation watch that also pays tribute to the legendary F-15 Eagle. We hope it will become a signature item for any “Eagle Driver.”

Bremont B-eBe2000 Watch case treatment All Bremont watches are treated for hardness with B-EBE2000 technology. This special stage in the case production, in which the metal is heat-treated and defused with carbon and then bombarded with electrons, gives the stainless steel a dramatically increased hardness and scratch resistance. On the Vickers scale of hardness B-EBE2000 produces a watch case with a value of 2000, this is approximately seven times that of the normal stainless steel used for watch cases.

Bremont Sapphire Watch crystals

Our sapphire crystals, convex and with a Mohs

hardness rating of “9” (equivalent to 2000Hv

on the Vickers scale), also have anti-reflective

coatings applied to both sides of the glass.

Untreated crystals can allow light to reflect

back, which can significantly affect the legibility

of the watch dial. The coating, with its carefully

calculated thickness, is vapour-deposited onto

the crystals in a vacuum environment, and is also

specially treated to maintain a hardness of close

to 2000Hv. Reflections are therefore reduced to

less than 0.5%.

Bremont 3 year Warranty Mechanical watches are inherently complicated, but as we have complete confidence in our product we offer a 3 year warranty on all Bremont watches. Actually, we are one of the few watch manufacturers to offer this and we hope that this gives you some peace of mind when purchasing a Bremont timepiece.
