In challenging market conditions SMAhas delivered a record performance,throughout our auction centres, digitalbusiness and Technical Serviceoperations. On behalf of everyone atSMA thank you for your custom andsupport. We are working hard to listen toyour requirements and then deliver yourideal remarketing service.Business growth has encouraged us to invest further in ournetwork and with this in mind our Leeds customers willsoon see the busiest auction centre in the north enjoying a£1M re-development designed to double capacity.Naturally we will be working to minimise anyinconvenience. Newcastle is stepping up to daily auctionswith a new General Sale taking place every Tuesday dueto the demand from both buyers and vendors.

A year on from its opening, our Birmingham centre hasbeen a great success with new customers from acrossthe East and West Midlands joining us on a regular basis.In addition to our vehicle auctions Birmingham is one ofour four centres to provide specialist LCV, HGV and Plantauctions, joining with Kinross, Leeds and Newcastle inwhat has been a very popular development this year.

Enhancements to our centrenetwork are supported by onlineinnovations. This month we see thelaunch of our Timed Auctionsplatform, providing another way ofbuying stock wherever you are! There are three options on each vehicle for would-bebuyers:

1 Place a bid and keep checking back to see if you needto increase your bid.

2 Place a maximum bid and allow us to bid on yourbehalf up to your limit

3 Buy it now

Early indications suggest that this innovation is being wellreceived!

Central to the SMA ethos is customer focus. All of ourdevelopment has been possible because of the rapportwe have with our many buyers and vendors. We reallywelcome your feedback, so if you have an idea, or feelthat there is more we could do, please let us know, we arelistening.
