• Philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies.• Set up to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential.

• Satya Bharti School Program• Flagship program of Bharti Foundation.• It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus on the girl child across rural India.• Goal to establish 500 Primary and 50 Senior Schools reaching out to over 200,000 students

• Present Operational Status• Number of Schools Operational:250• States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu & West Bengal • Number of Students Enrolled: Over 36,000

About the Community

Geographical Location:

•Bhahla village is situated 52 KM from district Rewari.

•Sandy soil.Socio- Economic Background:

• Major casts are : Ahir, Rajput, Chamar, Kumhar,etc.

• Dominating castes : Ahir

•Main source of earning is agriculture, animal husbandry, labor,

Govt.service etc.

• Population : 2100, Literacy Rate: 58% and Sex Ratio: 45:55

We took responsibility to gain faith of ladies to remove and reduce this social issue and we have done lots of

nukkad nataks,short term plays at village ‘chopaal’

We ‘Did’

Slogans used by us impact to villagers specially males and they did promise with us that they will not take

biddis and any other liquor

Impact on Community:Community members realized t their responsibilities or accountability to maintain the health and hygiene in the village. All the community with sarpanch praised the initiative of the students of Satya Bharti School.

Impact on “Us”

• “Bachon ne aisa kaam kar dikhaya hai jo bade se bada leader bhi na kar sake,mera gaon khushhali ki taraf badh raha hai” …….Sarpanch(bhala)

• We get appreciation letter from Sarpanch

The Road Ahead…..(in the next 3 months)

•Regular follow up for the program.

•Slogan writing on common places of the village.

•Two persons were assigned duty by panchyat to keep the drains clean.•Our school will be role modal for health & hygiene for community.
