To instill the sense of duty and responsibility in our students, Investiture ceremony was organized on 1st May, 2019. Students were given the batches for Head Boy and Head Girl, Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl, Sports Captain (Boy), Captain and Vice‐Captain. Mrs. Leena Kapoor, HOS motivated students to feel a sense of responsibility in them as they are the future leaders.
Science on Wheels Science Exhibition was organized by STEM BUS (India) on 1st August, 2019. It was an effort made by the Department of Ministry of Science and Technology to motivate the school children for science and its related aspects. STEM Bus visits began with a high‐energy, educational system. Its objective was to spark a passion for STEM education in youth so as to build competent engineers in coming times. Approximately 530 students from classes IV to X were involved in this activity.
Van Mahotasava Celebration
Van Mahotsava, the festival of trees, was celebrated on 16th July, 2019. The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and other natural resources. An outdoor plantation activity along with a short marching rally was organized creating awareness about ‘Save Trees, Save Environment’.
Blissfulness is not a phase but a state of mind.
Health Activity Live Healthy, Drink Yakult A probiotic health drink “YAKULT” activity was conducted by YAKULT DANONE India Pvt. Ltd. on 25th April, 2019. The students of class VII to X were involved in the activity. A lecture on Yakult which is a “probiotic health drink” was given discussing how to improve digestion, build immunity, prevent digestive disorders, etc. At the end of the session, the students were given a sample of Yakult.
Inter-House Activity (Fruit-Salad Decoration & Sandwich Making)
An Inter‐House activity was organized on 27th April, 2019. The activity was conducted under two categories:
Class I to V : Fruit Salad Decoration Class VI to X : Sandwich Making
The students were divided into groups according to their houses (Pragati, Preet, Prakash and Prerna). The activity developed in them a sense of team spirit and co‐ordination. The best entries were selected house wise from each category.
Quiz Competition at Talkatora Stadium The brilliant students of our school, JAI CHAWLA (X) and AMAN BISHT (X) participated in the Annual Inter‐school PACE Quiz, ‘Inquizitive ‐ 2019’ organized by Hindustan Times on 8th August, 2019 at Talkatora Stadium between the city’s bright young minds featuring more than 350 schools. A cheering team of 10 students from classes VI to VIII accompanied the participants along with the props and the banner of the school.
National Deworming Day National Deworming Day was observed on 8th August, 2019 (Thursday) and 10th
February, 2020 (Monday). Students from class Pre‐school to X were given Albendazole 400 mg tablet in the school. It is a government mission aimed to reduce the cases of worm infection among kids all over India.
Independence Day Celebration Our school, celebrated this auspicious day with great enthusiasm on 14th August, 2019. The students presented a cultural program depicting patriotic songs and dances. The vision of 73rd Independence Day has once again given a small notion of refinement as it brings for the people.
Inter-House Sports Activities
First Position in CBSE Science Exhibition 2019 We feel privileged and honored to showcase and acknowledge the achievements of our brilliant students, Paras Dhawan (X) and Samarth (VIII). They had done a tremendous job and prepared a Waste Interposer under the guidance of Mr. Tapan Pathak, Science Coordinator, which automatically separates dry waste and wet waste. The hard work by students had brought good reward and they have been awarded first position by C.B.S.E. at regional level.

school such as Chess, Yoga, Primary Races, and Speedball
Competitions.
Health Checkup by SNCF A Health checkup was conducted by SNCF on August 06, 2019.The team of 11 doctors and 34 volunteers were allocated for this event. 695 students participated in the camp. The health checkup included Physical examination along with dental checkup, eye checkup, Height, weight and full ENT. The camp was organized to maintain student's good health and safety.

Fit India Movement Activity It was a proud moment for SNPS as it was the part of the FIT INDIA MOVEMENT launched by the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 29th August, 2019. The students from classes I to X took the pledge during the assembly along with their respective teachers to keep India ‐ a Fit India.
Gandhi Jayanti Celebration In order to mark the celebrations of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, one week programme was organized from 23’ª Sept, 2019 to 1st Oct, 2019 including bhajans, fancy dress competition, lectures on truthfulness and non‐ violence, a display of Gandhian thoughts and ideas,etc.
Water Conservation Activity A special assembly was conducted on 25th September, 2019 to sensitize the students about the techniques to conserve water and other resources. Mr. Prateek Motwani, Teacher Incharge cited live examples and encouraged the students as well as teachers to follow methods to save water.
Magic Show A magic show was organized on 7th August, 2019. The Show was conducted by the famous magician, Mr. Jatinder Singh Babbar. He performed various magic tricks and illusions that made children and teachers absorbed and awestruck.
Inter-House Rakhi & Kite Making Competition An Inter‐House Rakhi Making & Kite Making Competition was conducted on 14th August, 2019, for classes I to X on the occasion of Independence Day and Rakshabandhan.
Awareness About Ills of Using Plastic With the aim of combating the deadly Single use plastic usage, Single use plastic awareness campaign was organized on September 21, 2019. The students and teachers of the school participated enthusiastically, joining hands against the terror of plastic effects. A special rally was flagged off to spread awareness among the masses about plastic.
Workshop on Self Defence “Self Defence is not just a set of techniques, it’s a state of mind and it begins with the belief that you are worth defending.”
A workshop on ‘Right to Safety’ was conducted on September 05, 2019 focussing Self Defence primarily for girls. The resource person, Mr. Vijender, an entrepreneur in mixed martial arts gave a demonstration of street fight techniques in real life scenarios. The girl students were motivated to speak up about such crimes.
Achiever's Award Ceremony Achiever's Award Ceremony was organized on 25th January, 2020 to felicitate the achievers. It was a proud moment for us to showcase the HISTORICAL BIG ACHIEVEMENT of our talented students who have brought laurels to our school at National Level Speedball Championship. The academic achievers of the session 2018‐19 were also bestowed with tokens of appreciation in the event. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Anand Dulgalche, Creative Producer Zee TV as chief guest, Chairman, Mr. A.S. Gill and Manager, Mrs. Rupinder Kaur.
Inter House Heritage India Quiz An Inter House Heritage India Quiz Competition was organized on 13th Nov, 2019 for the students of classes VII to IX in order to devise ways to popularize heritage education among the young children.
Cross Country Race Cross Country Race (2 km) was organized on 17th Jan, 2020 around Shaheed Bhagat Singh park for the students of classes VI to IX. The students put in their efforts and tried to win the race. They showcased the spirit of sportsmanship as keen runners. The winners were awarded certificates and medals.

Happiness Visit to Akshardham Temple School organized one day visit for students to Akshardham Temple for excellent performance in the field of Academics, Sports and Cultural Activities. School always provides opportunities for the students for kinesthetic and Happiness learning i.e., learning by doing, motivates and encourages students to engage with people, places in new ways .
Swachhata Pakhwada
Swachhata Pakhwada was observed in our school from 1st Sept, 2019 to 11th Sept, 2019. The children promised to keep their school, home and surroundings clean. They were inspired to continue with the good practices of personal hygiene and sanitation. The students were involved in hand washing activity and shramdaan by cleaning the corridor areas and the surrounding areas of the school by picking up the waste papers and plastics.
Awareness About Thalassemia The staff strives to spread awareness about contemporary issues in the field of health and education. An interactive session on ‘Thalassemia; causes and prevention’ was conducted by Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Thalassemia specialist, Delhi Health Department.
Teacher’s Day
Traf c Awareness Workshop A workshop on 12th July, 2019 was held by representatives from Delhi Traffic Police. They gave informative lectures to the students and briefed them about various traffic rules. Several videos were shown to reinforce the information shared.

Teacher’s Day was celebrated on 5th September, 2019 at SNPS with great zeal and zest. A special assembly was conducted where the students recited beautiful poems. Teachers shared their thoughts by telling that how important students are to them. It was a memorable day for all teachers and their dear students. HOS, Mrs. Leena Kapoor conveyed her wishes to all the staff members and blessed all the students.
Christmas Celebration Keeping the feel of Christmas in our heart, a Christmas Fete was organized on 24th December, 2019. The parents from class Nursery, KG and Ist were invited for the event.
Gross Motor Skill Development ‘Gross Motor Skill Development Activity Day' was organized for the students of classes Nursery to Ist on 17th February,2020 under the supervision of our sports teacher, Mr. Jitender along with team members. The students were involved in various activities such as running azure on the sports field, playing fun sports activities. Many games were organized like hurdle race, scrolling, umbrella exercise, circuit training and jump exercises.
Painting Competition
School Excursion Students from Classes Nursery to III were taken to Eco Adventure Camp whereas the students of classes IV to X were taken to Lohagarh Farms. Surrounded by mustard fields, the places have their own rustic charm and beauty.
Painting competition was organized on 19th Jan, 2020.The main thrust of the competition was towards stirring the imagination and providing a pedestal for innovation, exploration and aesthetics. The young participants spun magic which pulled the strings in the heart, mind and soul of the judges unleashing the forces within.
Truly great are those who bloom even in autumn of adversary.
Laurels in Inter Zonal Drawing &
Poster Making Competition The students of our school participated in the Inter Zonal Drawing and Collage Making Competitions and brought laurels for the school. PUNEET and ANISH bagged first position in the Senior Boys category whereas YOGESH and AMANAT secured first position in the Junior Boys category in Collage Making Competition held on 4th September, 2019. ZAHRA got first position in the Junior category in Drawing Competition on 6th September, 2019 under the able guidance of our Art teacher, Mrs. Amanpreet Kaur.
