Ramco Plexus is a group of 10 companies that have come together to serve the greater need of print and packaging in East Africa. Ramco Plexus was formed as a partnership between Ramco Group and Amethis Finance, a French private equity company. Ramco Group has been in operation since 1948 in Kenya and comprises over 35 companies in the hardware, print, manufacturing, stationery and service sectors. A keen focus on bringing global print and packaging technologies to East Africa, coupled with our desire to remain the industry leader is what differentiates all Ramco Plexus companies. We have a combined workforce of over 1100 people across various production facilities in East Africa and a turnover exceeding USD 65m.

With a humble start in 1994 with two printing presses, 12 employees and a big vision to change the printing world, Ramco Printing is today recognised as a leading printing company in Kenya that offers combined options for commercial print, digital print, publications, packaging and promotional materials. With a team of over 400 staff, we have two state-of-the-art production facilities in Nairobi exceeding 145,000 sq. ft. Each of our two printing units has developed their own unique strengths and areas of expertise, providing our customers with a strong support structure across an extensive range of printing services. Our ultra-modern facilities comprise state-of-the-art German machines with up to 8 colour printing combined with special printing effects & precision finishing, that deliver a variety of unique print solutions. All our presses are calibrated with renowned colour management software to ensure absolute colour consistency. At Ramco, we understand the impact of timely delivery on our customers’ business and have an ethos to deliver quality to our clients, on time, every time. Technology plays a key role in our industry and we believe in investing in not just our printing machines but our people, software and systems. We have been recognized as pioneers in introducing the latest trends in print technology from digital printing with variable data to colour management and being the first diary and notebook production unit in East Africa. We have been manufacturing flexible packaging since 1986 with printed polythene as a core focus of our business. Although we produce mainly for Kenya, we also export to East Africa, Zambia, Malawi and Israel.

Our key clients are from the agricultural, horticultural, food and beverage industries. We maintain professional standards while manufacturing quality polythene products and we use well selected raw materials and have invested in the most advanced film manufacturing technologies.

As most of our products are used in the food industry, there is strong emphasis on a hygienic environment and production practices. With so many printing companies within the Ramco Group all importing their own raw materials, we formed The Print Store to consolidate these functions under one roof. Once established, the company began to supply printers beyond our group and beyond Kenya. The Print Store has now become a leading paper, board and press consumables supplier in the East African region serving offset, flexo and digital printers. A key function at the Print Store is our planning to ensure that no matter what importation hurdles may arise, our clients can depend on us for continuous supplier of their core raw materials.

We manufacture an American patented shipping pallet made from recyclable and sustainable corrugated paper that replaces the traditional wooden shipping pallet. This unique product carries a dynamic one ton load and offers a significant cost saving to all users while remaining environmentally friendly. With Kenya’s strong export sector of fresh vegetables to Europe, the EcoPallet’s 3.5kg weight helps to reduce air freight costs for this sector. It is ISPM-15 exempt so does not require any heat treating or fumigation in order to travel. The pallets are considered sterile, and are therefore popular with food and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
