INTRODUCTION

What does a battery means to you???

According to Tracy s. Morris, batteries are device that generate electricity

by harvesting electrons from a cell filled with electrolyte material.

The batteries have its own lifespan according to the chemicals used in it.

It affects the qualities of calls and also the recharging time.

Cell phones use secondary type batteries which can be rechargeable.

But,, it gets warm after a quite long hours of recharging.

Thus, the research is to produce a new design of a battery that can

gives the benefits to users.

Let me share some ways to UPGRADE the batteries time usage..

First, determine what type of batteries you are using. Then, you must

provide necessary maintenance to it in order to maximize its life and

usefulness.

Second, initialize the new batteries. It comes in discharged condition

and need to be fully charge before use. Approximately charge 16 hours

for nickel-base batteries and 5 to 6 hours for lithium-ion batteries.

Third, you need to know your batteries condition. Failure to discharge

nickel-base batteries will result in memory effect and shorten the

batteries life.

Fourth, store the batteries properly. If your battery will be out of use for

a while, disconnect it from the phone.

PLASTICIZATION

is a substance to increase its flexibility and workability. It may reducethe melt viscosity, or lower the elasticmodulus of the products.

Example of plasticizer that be used: Poly(ethylene glycol) Ethylene carbonate Lithium triflate (LiCF3SO3) salt solution

CONCLUSION

The most significant findings of this research was that -- the idea of a

new cell phone batteries with addition of plasticizer in lithium solution.

this new combination was believed to be more durable and longlasting use of cell phone batteries as it produces higher conductivity of

electric.

This was brought about by the characteristic of the plasticizer itself.

It is a substance with high conductivity of electric, high boiling

temperature to prevent from overheating, and has low volatility to resist

to make it last longer.
