Registered charity 1088239 David McNally meets Enterprise pupils Just hours after appointing Norwich City’s new first team manager, the Club’s Chief Executive David McNally attended a Q&A session with over 150 school pupils in the Norfolk Lounge at Carrow Road on Friday, January 9. The pupils, who are taking part in the Premier League Enterprise programme with the Canaries’ Community Sports Foundation (CSF), had the opportunity to ask the Chief Executive questions about his career so far, life at Norwich City and his plans for the business in the future. Premier League Enterprise, supported by Aviva, teaches children important business skills using professional football clubs as a model and an engagement tool. During the term, pupils will host a fundraising event using the skills they have developed. Mr McNally’s appearance was the climax of the first ‘Inspiration Day’ to be held at Carrow Road, which saw pupils from five Norfolk schools attend workshops with key CSF staff and trustees to help them with some ideas as they begin planning for their events. As well as learning about finance, event logistics and marketing, the pupils were treated to a session on maximising potential from Gavin Drake, Managing Director of Mindspan Global Ltd and a trustee for CSF. Earlier in the day, Paralympian and Aviva Sponsorship Consultant Danny Nobbs helped to open proceedings and talk about the importance of the programme and its support from Aviva. Fiona Coombes, Enterprise & Schools Support Officer at CSF said: “It was a real treat for the pupils to meet David on such an important day for the Club and they were really excited to ask him some questions. “We are delighted with how this pilot event has gone and would like to thank David and Gavin, who are both on our board of trustees, for adding something extra to the day.” For more information on the Premier League Enterprise programme, contact the Enterprise team on 01603 761122 or info@ communitysportsfoundation.org.uk The schools in attendance were: Lynn Grove High School, Gorleston Northgate High School, Dereham Open Academy, Norwich Ormiston Venture Academy, Gorleston Stalham High School 1 1.
