The third annual Dean Ashton golf day took place at Royal Norwich Golf Club last week, with over
eighty golfers taking to the fairways in aid of the Community Sports Foundation.
Enjoying close to perfect conditions for golf, the teams of four competed in a Texas Scramble format across the course’s eighteen holes.
Teeing off alongside Norwich City legend and CSF Ambassador Dean Ashton was former Canaries favourite Mike Milligan, as well as a host of teams representing local companies.
As usual, golfing challenges located at various points of the course, gave the teams the chance to compete for a number of prizes including the chance to win a free car for a weekend, courtesy of Holden Group UK.
The post-tournament buffet included an auction hosted by ex-City winger Adrian Forbes, with generously donated prizes including a Royal Norwich Golf Club experience for 20 people and a 5-star self-catering holiday provided by the Beeston Group.
Over £6,300 was raised from the day, which will go towards supporting CSF’s range of programmes for disabled and disadvantaged individuals.
“I’ve had another fantastic day, it’s been another hugely enjoyable affair and we’ve raised a lot of money for the Appeal which is the most important thing,” reflected Dean Ashton following the event.

twenty teams tee off for annual dean ashton golf fundraiser
CSF’s annual quiz extravaganza, ‘On the Buzzer, City’ returns this autumn and entry is now open.
Hosted by special guest presenters Adrian Forbes & Rob Butler, the fundraiser will take place on Thursday 19th November in the Top of the Terrace at Carrow Road.
As ever, you can expect plenty of top quizzing action, mystery guest rounds and puzzles posed by Norwich City players, as well as free nibbles, raffles and lots of great entertainment.
