At the most recent PTA meeting, I learned that Edison will be having a Family Fun Fair onMay 2nd from 5-8 pm. Each class is being asked to create a basket to be raff led off. I’d
like to stick with the camping theme, so if you have any ideas or would like to be part ofthe team that collects/arranges, let me know. There’s also a sign-up sheet on thebulletin board located near the cafeteria.
Doughnuts with Dad: Friday, June 6th at 7:30am- SAVE THE DATE! Dads and theirchild(ren) may come and share time together over doughnuts. This was wildly popularlast year, so the PTA would like to do it again. They don’t want to leave mom out, so
Muffins With Mom will be Friday, May 16th. If you’re able to help with this event, just let
me know. YUM! We are very lucky our PTA arranges such fun events at Edison!
TABLE TALK: In Science, we have been very busy learning more aboutweather/blizzards, temperature/thermometer reading. Be sure to ask your campermore about the experiment we did this week and HOW to read a thermometer. Askabout its purpose. In math, we are still working on Fact Fluency with our 10s Partnersand using that knowledge to apply it to money with dimes. Keep practicing at home.My 1st grader and I play a game called “If you can count it, you can keep it”. If he can
count the random change I lay before him, it’s his! It’s a win-win activity.
Looking forward to the week ahead,
