The following homework is due by FRIDAY, February 27th:

Strengthen math fluency with an Xtra Math session. Review and study this weeks spelling and word wall words. Read from your Book of the Week (Keep in back pack!!) and dothe assignment sheet indicated in the reading strategies packet.

POSTPONED UNTIL MONDAY: Chinese New Year celebration: In Social Studies, we would like to celebrate the Chinese/Lunar New Year by visiting the land, culture, and food. Thank you, Dipple/Carpenter family for your donation of fortune cookies! Be sure to ask your camper about the following:

Calligraphy- What are the symbols we painted and what do they mean? Global study of China- Where is it and what are some things that are made there? Food and culture- What did your fortune cookie say and what fortune did you write? Music- What did you think of the music? What instruments do you think are use

Accelerated Reader will provide a nation-wide event called Read The Most Coast To Coast next Friday on February 27th. On that day, students across the country will challenge themselves to take as many AR tests as they can. Prepare for your email queue to blow up with results on your campers AR tests that day!

NWEA scores will be coming home on Monday. Please sit down with your camper and discuss the results. I am so proud of my campers and trust you will express this pride as well.

Book of the Week: Please make sure the book stays in the back pack when not being read. We will be using it during Guided Reading Book Club time. You need only have your campers complete the page I indicate at the top of the page. Were gearing up for 2nd grade!!
