To the Congregation of Our Lady of Lourdes The entire family of Melvin Allen would like to thank each and every member of your church for the kind words, prayers, and comforting condolences that we received during Mel’s funeral and internment. We could not ask for a better service of sendoff for Mel. You can rest assured that he loved your congregation. He loved the church and he loved God. He demonstrated through the years an untiring devotion to his faith. Everyone in our family had invited him to come live with us so his life could be easier in his later years. He had no desire to leave Selah or leave the church he loved. He was truly devoted to the Catho-lic Church in Selah. A special thank you to the kitchen committee for the wonder-ful reception which followed the service. Again, thank you for your words of comfort to our family. Receiving all the well wishes meant a lot to our family. Mel would have been very happy with such a wonderful affirma-tion of his life. The Mel Allen Family
