• Installed signal poles at Cullen Parkway and FM 1128. • Installed signal poles at Morgan intersection and Cullen Parkway. • Installed additional temporary gate at Southwyck WWTP on Magnolia. • Monitored barricades at Dryberry, Cullen and FM 1128. • Enterprise Pipeline preparing billing information for submittal, sent some

information related to testing. • Awaiting contractor response on October 28th regarding settled

subgrade under pavement and along sub-grade of unpaved area east of FM 1128 on Magnolia Rd, and around storm and sanitary road crossing.

• Initiated televising of sanitary line. • Stopped construction of 15 in. sanitary sewer along West Oaks Village to lift

station #65. No action regarding City’s direction to open cut road crossing. • Coordinated with developer regarding alternate bid items and additional work.

Traffic Signal Installation at Southfork and CR90 and CR 94 Design Engineer: TEDSI Infrastructure Group CM: Staff Contractor: Florida Traffic Control Devices Billed to Date: $698,965.58 % Billed: 100% Contract Days Used: 200 % of Contract: 99%

• Completed additional repair of thermoplastic pavement markings. • Warranty period is now complete.

Segment 3: (Construction Phase 1) Landscaping for Magnolia Rd. from Harkey Rd. to Veterans Dr.

• Monitor maintenance and approve payments for maintenance contracts. • Coordinate with Parks Department as needed.

Segments 1 & 2: (Construction Phase 2) Magnolia Rd. from Veterans Dr. to Pearland Parkway

• Monitor and complete items noted for correction on punch-list. • Complete pavement grinding to remove rough areas. • Place additional speed limit signs near overpass. • Remove cat-track pavement markings and add advance lane assignment

pavement markings at Pearland Parkway. • Conduct Final Completion Inspection. • Seek revised paperwork if needed from Center Point regarding streetlight

installation. • Complete red line drawings and review with Construction Manager. • Review project paper work including balancing change order. • Conduct project closeout meeting.

Segments 4 & 5: (Construction Phase 3) Magnolia Rd from Morgan Rd. to Harkey Rd.,

and CR-89 from Southfork to Northfork. • Complete ramps and sidewalk along Morgan to Park and handicap ramps at

Morgan intersection. • Obtain power to signals at Morgan, Cullen and FM 1128 intersections. • Complete paving activities at Southfork/ Cullen Parkway intersection. • Complete televising sanitary sewer line and review results. • Review and accept approved solution to repair trench settlement along

Magnolia sanitary sewer, and settlement at utility crossings. • Complete 15 in. sanitary line tie in to West Oaks LS #65, with possible

short term closure of West Oaks Blvd. • Initiate 15 in. sanitary line to West Oaks LS #22. • Coordinate as necessary with developer for Magnolia Rd work. • Coordinate with HOA, MUD, developer and residents as necessary.

• USACE indicated a desire to review the project and conduct a site visit. No date or timeframe for the site visit was mentioned.

• No activity. Planned activities for the period ending October 31, 2010:

• Coordinate with USACE regarding project completion.

Dixie Farm Road Widening - Phase I Design Engineer: Freese Nichols Inc. Contractor: W.W. Webber LLC CM: TxDOT Billed to Date: $21,117,175.62 % Billed: 99% Contract Days Used: 529 % of Contract: 95% Progress this Period:

• Processed change orders from TxDOT as part of project closeout; requested TxDOT provide final accounting of project funding.

• Center Point refined plan and an estimate to City for review. • Existing electrical wood poles will be utilized for street lighting near FM 518

only due to reduced right of way. Planned activities for the period ending November 30, 2010:

• Finalize streetlight plans and initiate work with Center Point. • Finalize speed study report.

Project Schedule:

• TxDOT issued Notice to Proceed at the end of October 2006. • Construction reached substantial completion in November 2008.

• Initiated slip form paving on future southbound main lanes from SH 35 to

Bestin Oaks Dr. • Processed change order regarding water line services repairs • Coordinated with Oakbrook HOA on Oakbrook Dr. entrance and trees in City

right of way. • Staff coordinated with TxDOT and PISD personnel.

Planned activities for the period ending November 30, 2010:

• Complete slip form paving of southbound lanes from Cowarts Creek to north of Willow Lake Dr. and north project limits near Walmart.

intersection work. • Coordinate with HOA and residents as needed. • Monitor intersections for any issues.

• Contractor completed punch list items and corrected fence and pond grades.

extra work at Pond #9 and at Mary’s Creek opposite bank. • Scheduled project close out meeting. • Obtained language from Legal Department for signage along Creek

prohibiting motor vehicles. • Obtained quotes and selected vendor for hydromulching haul road

Planned activities for the period ending November 30, 2010:

• Resolved additional remaining punch list items with contractor. • Negotiated costs on changes related to Building access and separation, AV

changes in weight room. • Met with architect regarding electrical issues and participation in costs for

work not bid competitively bid. • Drafted change order with extra cost items described above. • Notified contractor of warranty items. • Worked to resolve warranty items. • Completed Testing and Balancing of the Natatorium. • TDLR inspection conducted and report submitted, with minor corrections.

way, pending FHWA environmental approvals Curbing approximately 50% on Northbound lanes Backfilling medians has begun Completed asp-halt transition pavement to existing 2-lane

roadway at north end of project • Revising striping and signing plan to match existing

TxDoT has agreed to include the Opticoms and Option 4 Controller equipment in signals as a change order within the contract

• Facility Access Control and Security system still in testing mode o Corrected sally port operational sequence issues o Corrected or added vehicular evidence operation sequence o Bringing on line the Virtual Secretary software for access o Working on issues with Interview Room audio/ Visual recording

system • Waiting on parts to replace air control damper in Jail air handler

o Once installed the damper will have to be re-programmed and the test and balance re-performed

• HVAC system undergoing some minor changes in the mode of operation capabilities

o Equipment added to provide system with a manual operation mode capability

o Control computer has been moved and communications re-established with other buildings

o Conducted a full system operation check with simulated power failures and lead/ lag change over. System performed as required

• Tentatively scheduled for Building Commissioning for the week of November 15th

o Actual completion of this activity is dependent on completion of the replacement of the damper, re balancing and reprogramming of the Jail air handler

• Project advertised October 20th and 27th. • Provided plans and specs to Costello, Inc. for constructability review. • Finalized utility relocation. • Received updated survey from Amani that confirmed acquisitions by city and TxDOT. • Met with BNSF concerning upgrades to the railroad crossing that will be performed by BNSF.

There will be an adjustment in the cost to the city for improvements and upgrades. Previously negotiated cost were adjusted and additional work added by BNSF resulting in an additional cost to the city of $2,328.00.

Planned activities for the period ending November 30, 2010:

• Receive as-builts from the utility companies. • Retain a Construction Manager. • Receive Constructability Review comments. • Meet with the geotechnical consultant. • Bid opening November 10, 2010.

Environmental Dewatering to provide this service for $9,500.00. The contractor had requested a change order for $17,960.00 to do the work. The bore under Kirby and the sanitary sewer tie-in to be completed by November 5, 2010.

• Alerting System for the facility will cost between $65,000.00 and $95,000.00. The system will be bid separately from the construction contract.

• Attended weekly progress meeting. • The Aluminum Box Culvert installation is complete. Tie-ins and backfill are underway. • Boretunco (jack and bore sub-contractor) has been running a twenty-four hour a day operation

on the railroad box culvert crossing. As a result, two complete runs are in. The installation of the third and final run began October 25th and is expected to be complete in approximately 15 days.

• Schedule and attend bi-weekly progress meetings. • Reopen the intersection of Mykawa and Orange by November 23. • Jack and bore under BNSF railroad to continue.

Project Schedule:

• Substantial completion has been extended to account for rain days. Substantial completion is set for November 23.
