Established in 1991 by the
owner of Z-Whizz
The Z Car CLUB OF SAN DIEGO
Is a group of Datsun and Nissan Z enthusiasts and a Charter Member of the National Z Car Club Association.
Purpose: The Club is organized as a California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation formed to:
1) Provide its members with access to knowledge about their Z Cars;
2) Provide a forum for members and other interested parties;
3) Exchange Z Car information;
4) Organize events and activities for members which enhance their enjoyment of Z Car owner-ship.
Persons interested in becoming a Member should fill out the Member-ship Form located on the last page of this Newsletter.
Monthly Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month with a dinner at 6 PM and the meeting starting at 7 PM. See below for driving directions.

4280 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. San Diego, CA 921117 DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From the 15; Take the 52 West , exit on Gene-see Ave South, turn right on Clairemont Mesa Blvd, it’s on the right just past Clairemont Drive. From the 5; Take the 52 East, exit on Regents Road South, continue onto Clairemont Mesa Blvd, it’s on the left at the end of the Claremont Town Square shopping center. We park in back of Denny’s
February was a busy month the Friends of Mr. K Fun Run and the club run to the J.A. Cooley Muse-um. Friends of Mr. K Fun Run had about 20 cars, and we drove from Rancho Cucamonga to Ridgecrest to Hearst Castle to Morro Rock to Lyon Air Museum in Orange Coun-ty as the last stop. The club run to the J.A. Cooley Museum had about ten cars as we drove through older homes near downtown San Diego and then across and back on Coro-nado Bridge for a quick tour of Coronado. The museum had some great old cars, model railroad trains, clocks, and other toys. I think the museum owner likes 240Zs as she went down the block to look for the Cook’s 240. For this month’s speaker, we have Bill, a volunteer at the Air and Space Museum at Gillespie Field, who will do a presentation on air-plane and vehicle restoration. Our event this month will be the
Miniature Engineering & Craftsman
Museum in Carlsbad on Saturday,
March 21st. The museum features
small scale metal and wood crafts-
manship like airplanes, autos, com-
bustion engines, guns, model ships,
and tools.

As I am writing this I’m in the process of sending
out club membership renewal notice. It that time
of year to gear up for the upcoming season of ac-
tivities that these dues help finance. The club’s
membership in the National Z car club Associa-
tion , club insurance for events, The food supplied
at the club’s picnic, dyno day, beach meeting, and
supplies to send these form out. It’s a small
amount when we have activities thru out the year.
When you get your membership form make any
corrections, sign it and enclose a check and either
mail it or bring to the meeting.

Meet up at Richie’s Diner in Rancho Cucamonga, then
off to Randsburg
where Ice-cream
was the treat of the
day.
On to Ridgecrest
and dinner at Ale’s
Steakhouse and Bar.

Day 2 — February 15th
First a stop at Silver City Ghost Town in Bodfish. Then on
to the Sonic Drive-In where the Z-Girls served lunch.
There was an afternoon Root Beer stop at the original
A&W in Atascadero before heading to Morro Rock to view
the sunset. Then to the Creekside Inn in Cambria Pines
for the night.
