After 7 years
with the
WCYO &
WCMA Mr.
Lee Blaauw,
our drum-kit
tutor, has
decided that he wants to pursue
a different path in music. He will
definitely be missed by students,
teachers, parents and staff.
Mr. Lee, thank you for your
dedication and commitment to
your students, music and the
Academy. We wish you all the
best in your future endeavours.
A ♪ from the Principal
As the festive decorations and coloured lights
adorn streets, shop windows and houses, we are
met with a sense of exhilaration at the prospect
of closing the chapter that was 2017.
It is with gratitude and pride that we reflect on the
achievements of the past year. Twelve months of
hard work, and dedication by our students and
staff have allowed the WCMA and WCYO to reach
new academic heights and have brought us closer
to realising our vision of establishing the WCMA
and WCYO as the best music academy and youth
orchestra in the Western Cape.
However, with only a few short weeks left until the
Christmas break, I warmly wish our staff, students
and parents a blessed Christmas, spent in the
company of family, close friends and loved ones.
The time has come to slow down the pace, make
memories and take it easy, especially when you
are travelling - life is so precious.
It is my wish that 2018 may bring with it, abundant
opportunities and great prosperity for you and
your loved ones.
