And so we are already into February, thank you for another good week in school. Just a reminderfor an increasingly large group of families that school starts at 9 am.
The number of late children significantly increased to 135 children last week, which is almost half ofour school. I am sure that Sharon Drinkwaters attendance has impacted on this figure - the good
news is that we are looking forward to welcoming Sharon back next week.Jayne Kennedy
Celebration Assembly: Monday 9:109:30 am
You are welcome to join us for this event. we will text you if your child is to receive a
special award. Birthday cards are presented in Celebration Assembly to children having
birthdays during the week or upcoming weekend.
SPOTLIGHT
McDonalds Happy Meal Books
Over the past few weeks McDonalds have had a series ofbooks from DK in their Happy Meals for children. If your
child has received any of these books and doesnt want them
please could school have them as they would be a goodresource for our Guided Reading lessons. Please hand anyspare copies in to the office or to Mrs Leah. Thank you.

Can we say a big Thank you to all the Nursery parents whohave supported our home and school learning initiative. Wehave never had such amazing support from every nursery

Glaramarra
We are really looking forward to our Year 6 ResidentialHoliday the week beginning 10th February. This is the first
time that Barlow Hall Children have gone to Glaramarra andseveral members of staff travelled up to Keswick yesterdayto look at the centre and meet the team there. We were
very impressed with Glaramarra and the facilities there andwe are sure that the children will really enjoy their stay, this
is an amazing opportunity for the children to experienceoutdoor opportunities and learn independence. I know Ms
Peacock and the other members of staff joining them for theresidential will have a great time too.
