Turkey known officially as the Republic of Turkey is a Eurasian country located in Western Asia (mostly in the Anatolian peninsula) and in East
Thrace in Southeastern Europe.
Turkey is bordered by eight countries: Bulgaria to the northwest; Greece to the west; Georgia to the
northeast; Armenia, Azerbaijan (the exclave of Nakhchivan) and Iran to the east; and Iraq and Syria to the southeast.
The Mediterranean Sea and Cyprus are to the south; the Aegean Sea is to the west; and the Black Sea is to the north. The Sea of Marmara,
the Bosporus and the Dardanelles (which together form the Turkish Straits) demarcate the boundary between East Thrace and Anatolia; they also
separate Europe and Asia.

Izmir located on the eastern side of Turkey, Izmir is an Aegean legend
that has been mesmerizing everyone for centuries now.
Situated in the most suitable climate of the world, the city was named
“Princess” by Victor Hugo.
Izmir’s history dates as far as 6500 B.C. The city has been host to cut
influential civilizations as the Hittites Phrygians, Lydianas, Persians,
Romans, Mongolians and Ottomans.
A sea trading port city, it was one of the ideal commerce hubs of its
region for ages. Izmir is currently the third largest city in the modern
Turkish Republic, founded by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
The city’s growing importance makes it an important part of not only
Turkey, but also the Eastern Mediterranean
Izmir is a commerce city with an export-to import compensation ratio that makes it the second highest ranked city in Turkey.
Izmir is an industrial city, with 19 industrial and two free trade areas.
Izmir has been a port city for thousands of years. It is an important intersection for the flow of goods manufactured both in Europe and Asia.
Izmir is a city of tourism with a wide range of potential for urban and scenic tourism. It boasts 300 days of sunshine is surrounded by the sea.
Izmir is a city of education that has nine different universities.
Izmir is a historical and archaeological city that boasts a treasure of historic sites inside and close to the city. Ephesus, Pergamon, Agora the Virgin Mary House are the most well-known examples of Izmir’s 8,500-years old history.
Izmir is city of art and culture. It has hosted many international cultural events, whose thousands of years-old artistic tradition has been the center point for many cultures and artistic disciplines, and who has always been the meeting point for creativity and aesthetics.
