Symbol State and locationNew Mexico is a state located
in the southwest and western regions of the United States.
Flag Mexico by Spanish explorers in 1540.
On New Mexico's flag we see a red sun with rays streching out from it. There are four groups of rays with four rays in each group. This is an ancient sun symbol of a Native American people called the Zia. The Zia believed that the giver of all good gave them gifts in groups of four. These gifts are:
The four directions - north, east, south and west.
The four seasons - spring, summer, fall and winter.
The day - sunrise, noon, evening and night.
Life itself - childhood, youth, middle years and old age.
All of these are bound by a circle of life and love, without a beginning or end.

Importants Universities:University of New Mexico ¨Las Cruces¨
Advantages and disadvantagesI study at the University of New Mexico because I know
the language of the country, and the weather is very good. The universities are good and are within the objectives that make the United States, therefore, have a very high level. The population is multiethnic which means they speak many languages and could learn easily. The people are very welcoming.I would not go because there is great poverty and this would be an impediment to finding work after graduation, it would be very difficult to leave my life back, leaving my family, friends etc..

Importants factsColonized by Spain, the land that is now New
Mexico became U.S. territory as part of the Gadsen Purchase in 1853, though New Mexico did not become a U.S. state until 1912. During World War II, New Mexico was the site of the top-secret Manhattan Project, in which top U.S. scientists raced to create the first atomic bomb, which was tested at the Trinity Bomb site, near Alamagordo, on July 16, 1945. In 1947, Roswell, New Mexico, became a topic of speculation about extraterrestrial life when a local farmer discovered unidentified debris on his property, which some believed was the remains of a crashed alien spacecraft. Visitors to New Mexico frequent attractions like the Very Large Array telescope in Socorro and the historic city of Santa Fe, which artist Georgia O'Keeffe famously called home.
