This is the last week students on Team Blue will have Humanities. On Tuesday, January 30th, students
will be going to Team Gold for STEM with Mrs. Whitworth.
Students will be working on a political cartoon which depicts the figurative and literal meaning of a quote from the
Mother Jones biography we have been working on in class. The Final Draft of the political cartoon is due Thursday,
January 25th at the beginning of class.

The Spaghetti Dinner is run by student and teacher volunteers, so if your student signs up for a job a

All grades: Suggested Homework: Continue to think about your current project ideas and write down or
sketch any new ideas or modifications you generate.
FACS (Mrs. Lantz)
All students should bring pen/pencil, binder, agenda and homework folder to class each day.
They need to be reminded from home. Several students did not have a pencil today. The
binder can be recycled from a previous class. The binder helps students organize themselves
and be prepared. Organizational skills are important to all careers.
8th grade needs either a yard or yard and a half of blizzard fleece and a pair of fabric scissors
on . Scissors do not need to be new, just sharp enough to cut fleece.
7th grade is preparing to make their Family Album. They will begin to work on it during FACS on
Thursday, Nov. 2nd, during class. All materials are supplied. Due Friday, Nov.3, is their
Traditional Recipe Project. They made a recipe at home, which was passed down in their family,
if possible. They are to interview the person who originated the recipe, or family members who
knew them.
6th grade is presenting their SWAY to complete the Careers Unit. We developed them during
class. Most of them have been submitted to my account. We viewed close to half of them in
each class. Outstanding use of work task areas related information and technology! All due by
11/3.
