    The Circus Comes to Town

    Sem inar sNICOLE LAMOUREUX is the CWef Operating officer of the American HoCouncil. The American Horse Council is the legislative voice for the hoindustry. As CWef Operating Officer Nicole works daily with the leadersthe equine industry. Nicole's responsibilities include public relatiomarketing, association operations, fundraising and board and commitrelations. She holds a Masters Degree in American Government andBachelors of Arts Degree in Politics from The Catholic University ofAmerand resides in Alexandria, Virginia.

    LIv SANDBERG was Weed as the UW Extension Horse Specialist in June, 20She received her B. S. in Animal Sciences from Montana State University wan emphasis in Equine and Beef Management. Following several years workin the horse industry, she returned to school at Iowa State University wherecompleted a Masters of Science degree in Animal Science - NutritioPhysiology, with an emphasis in Equine Exercise Physiology. She then obtaina teaching position at North Carolina State University and was also the headNCSU 's Equine Educational Unit. li v is happy to share her knowledge withpeople ofWlSConsin.You can reach her office at (608) 263-4303.

    DR. ROBERT H. FOURDRAINE serves as cWef operating .officer ofWisconsin Livestock Identification Consortium. He was born in TNetherlands, where he received his Masters Degree in AgriG.ultuEngineering at the Agricultural University in Wageningen. He receivedPh.D in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 1994.The WisconLivestock Identification Consortium (WUC) is working to implementNational Animal Identification System (NAlS) in Wisconsin. TWs requianyone who keeps, houses or co-mingles livestock (including horses)register their premises no later then November 1,2005 . The WLIC wiUregistering premises at the Midwest Horse Fair in booth NP14.

    AsIA VOIGHT has been communicating with animals since she was a chShe began her professional work in 1998 after receiving advanced traininganimal communication from Penelope Smith. Internationally known, Asia hworked with over 10,000 animals in seven years. People and animals wh o ttogether through Asia are pleased to develop a deeper connection with eaother. Asia believes that everyone can communicate with animals, and teachpeople ho w to do so through weekend workshops. Asia's work has befeatured on television, radio, in magazines and newspapers, and in Dr. JuKaufmann's book, Crossing the Rubicon: Celebrating the Human-Animal Boin Life and Death
