The Leadership Challenge: Presentation by Melisa Williams, Director of Student Involvement Are you and your leaders ready to lead? Learn more about The
Leadership Challenge model and how this powerful collection of
leadership assessment tools help seasoned and aspiring leaders alike
deliver on the promise: better leadership = better results. Follow up
meeting Friday, December 3, 2010.
Motivation and Networking: Presentation by Mark Suida, Associate Director of Campus Life, Fredonia Developing the Leader in You – this workshop will allow students to un-
cover their core values and develop a personal mission statement. A
leader must know who they are to stay on course and remain motivated
in both good and challenging times.
Letter to yourself: Presentation by Sarah Frank, Residence Director
Writing a letter, or even a short note, to yourself can be a very powerful
experience. It can bring you comfort, encouragement and strength, like
having a conversation with a friend who knows you intimately, loves you
unconditionally and sincerely wants to help you improve what needs
improving, overcome difficulties and feel okay about yourself. Even if
you confront yourself, the process can be healing because it allows you
to encounter your doubts or challenges in a supportive, non-critical
way. Write a letter to yourself that simply reminds you why you chose
to be student leader and why you came on this retreat and why you love
who you are and what you do at Medaille College. Faces of Medaille Presentation by Melisa Williams, Director of Student Involvement
"Faces of Buffalo", is the first ever community-wide event of its kind
in that everyone is welcome to participate each year by creating their
self portraits and other drawings to be united into beautiful mosaics
representing the community. Medaille college has commissioned artist
Brian Nesline to recreate the Main Building with faces from our Medaille
community. Take a few minutes to add yourself to our community of
faces.
