This is a huge opportunity for organisations since employees – more than ever – want to be engaged. To tap into the employee engagement potential, leaders need to engage in authentic, two-way communication with their employees. This requires awareness of self, of the others and of the organisational system as a whole. Participants will be requested to do some pre-retreat work in order to prepare for the Pilot and will be invited to attend a 2-hour follow-up webinar several week after the retreat to share subsequent experiences back at work and to define next steps. The programme is bilingual (English-French) and participants need to be fluent in one of the two languages and have at least a basic understanding of the other language. The journey Our approach is to take leaders on an experiential journey to explore, identify, and nourish their multiple dimensions of being: intellectual, spiritual, physical and emotional. We propose a residential retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city, that will take participants on a journey to explore the idea of authenticity, through a programme specifically created to generate greater awareness of the self and others and to inspire and support you in your leadership capacity. The journey incorporates artistic and other types of interventions that are carefully selected to create an impact. The facilitators use professional coaching techniques throughout the programme to go deeper while the in-house chef will prepare refined organic meals designed to complement the experience.

Authentic Leadership Retreat – Pilot programme15-19 March 2016 – Clairefontaine, France

Embark on an experiential journey to explore and nourish your multiple dimensions of being

Join the Pilot of our four-day Authentic Leadership Retreat to identify and develop your inner leadership skills – a unique opportunity to experience this bilingual programme at an exceptional price and at a lovely family property outside Paris, surrounded by nature.

Why develop my Authentic Leadership? We believe that an authentic leader contributes to making the workplace – and by extension the world – a better place. Employees increasingly want to find meaning in their work, they want to be able to give their very best, to make a real contribution. This is a huge opportunity for organisations since employees – more than ever – want to be engaged. Research has established over and again the positive link between employee engagement and organisational performance.

The journeyOur approach is to take leaders on an experiential journey to explore, identify, and nourish their multiple dimensions of being: intellectual, spiritual, physical and emotional.

The Pilot programmeThe Pilot is aimed at testing and fine-tuning the programme at an exceptional price which covers only the basic costs (the team is not remunerated). To create the optimal conditions for this Pilot, we have selected a lovely family property which is reserved just for us. You won’t have the bells and whistles of a regular four-star hotel here but instead a more authentic place which fits well with the programme. Participants must be prepared to share their feedback with us with a view to help us improve the programme. It is also an opportunity for us to create marketing collateral and we would like to use this occasion to gather testimonials from the participants.

The team• Bart-Jan van der Linde: Consultant, facilitator and certified coach with over 20 years

of international experience in leadership and communication in a variety of industries. Prior to creating Tilia at work in 2014, Bart-Jan was Head of Global Communication for the Wealth Management business of French bank Societe Generale.

• Isabelle Harnois Zoltowski: HR Consultant, training facilitator and certified coach with over 25 years of experience mainly in Human Resources. Prior to creating IHZ Conseil, Isabelle was head of Graduate Policies and Programmes at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking. Isabelle enjoys working in international environments.

• Charlene Lim: Arts producer and cultural broker with more than 15 years experience working in the culture sector and global arts arena. Charlene established Global Arts Link in 2008 – an arts consultancy specialising in international and cross-cultural projects.

The benefits• Greater self-awareness, more empathy and a recognition of the

value of both qualities for better performance at work• An opportunity to experiment with different leadership behaviours

in a safe environment• Identifying concrete actions to reinforce one's leadership• Joining a network of like-minded leaders to share experiences and

exchange with peers• A personally enriching and truly unique experience

For whom? The programme is conceived for established and emerging leaders from across sectors and industries – people who like to learn about themselves and others and who are open to new approaches and different points of view.
