This growth and greater market demand for diverse financial options created challenges of its own. After evaluating a number of options, Unesco elected to take on a strategic equity partner, Oaktree Capital (NYSE: OAK) who manages over $121 billion in assets. This new financial position provided the financial stability to support the Unesco team in its ability to develop, finance, implement and operate any project size in the markets it serves and to expand nationally. PRACTICE/POSITION OVERVIEW: The K-12 division of SiteLogIQ assists school districts with the revitalization, renovation and new construction of educational facilities. Their progressive approach to revitalizing educational facilities seeks to identify and address operational challenges, and provide a safe, healthy learning environment for students and employees. They assess the current state of each facility, develop a project plan and help implement a long-term facility management plan that is affordable and easy to maintain. While their main focus is in the educational market, SitelogIQ also serves the municipal sector with their innovative process.

As a Regional Market Sector Leader at SitelogIQ you will use your professional networking and people skills to help establish relationships with new and prospective school districts. You will assist the Business Development team by supporting marketing efforts and “First Call” and “Preliminary Meetings” to build new and support existing relationships with K-12 school districts. Using your high-energy, passion, and knowledge of the K-12 market, educational ideologies, and current trends you will build a report and trust with district administrators, school boards, facility staff, and district employees and teachers. You may also assist and lead similar processes with municipal

clients and project types.

You will work together with the Director of Architecture in the implementation and standardization of projects and company-wide standards within your local region and market. You will help lead the development of new projects, including leading district wide “Ideation Sessions”, needs analysis, project ideas and scope development, feasibility studies, high level cost estimates, and the development of several ideas and solutions to meet the needs of each district or municipality.

High-energy, self-motivation, creativity, and passion for both K-12 education and architecture are a must.

SitelogIQ offers the unique ability to work from home on a daily basis. A company issued computer along with all required design programs, monitors, printers, and supplies will be provided. Employees are expected to be available during normal business hours and to be logged into a group work sharing and communications program during those hours.

Travel will be required within the region. This travel may include but is not limited to client meetings, site visits, field verifications, building assessments, school board meetings, and presentations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare design illustrations or rough sketches • Cultivate potential business prospects with the Marketing Team • Manage multiple clients and responsible for the coordination of each client’s efforts • Develop, implement and maintain effective sales and other programs that provide maximum

exposure to new business prospects within the firm’s established goals and objectives • Prepare proposals, presentations and qualification packages • Develop and implements promotional programs and plans for client’s use

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Architect • 10 or more years of hands-on project development experience in the Educational Sector • Minimum 5 years of client leadership and development experience • Have extensive knowledge and experience in the K-12 market • Have thorough knowledge of architectural design drafting, detailing, building materials, building

codes, construction techniques and cost • Creative problem-solving skills, space planning, budget analysis and conceptual design work • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proactive and ability to meet project timelines and client expectation

Kevin Madden is the President and Chief Executive Officer for SitelogIQ. He has been a global innovator in the energy services market for more than three decades and is recognized as a passionate leader that focuses on the people side to drive positive change.

Prior to joining SitelogIQ, he worked for Honeywell in various senior leadership roles, including the Vice President/General Manager, Managing Director of the Energy Services Group, which was responsible for delivering 5,000 energy savings performance contracts and $4.8 billion in savings to their public sector clients.

He has been a recipient of several prestigious sales and leadership awards and has served as a visionary for creating customer-centric business transformations. Kevin is a highly sought-after inspirational speaker around topics that include sales, leadership and creating a positive culture. His philosophy is also noted in a variety of magazines and sales-related books.

Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, is a graduate of the Advanced Managers Program and Advanced Directors Program from Harvard University, and has served on several boards.

Dan Skaar is the Chief Operations Officer for SitelogIQ. He is an energy executive with deep expertise across operations, finance, and sales. He has led organizations ranging from $10M to $400M in the energy, utility, technology, and software space—domestically, internationally and within highly regulated environments.

Prior to SitelogIQ, he has held executive positions at Honeywell, NiSource, MAPP, and Midwest Reliability, and is well versed in the entire spectrum of energy services including system resiliency, markets, and cybersecurity.

Dan received both his BA and MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, graduate of the Executive Advantage Program from the Carlson School of Business, University of Minnesota and the Advanced Management Program from Harvard University and is a licensed certified public accountant.

Jason Akin Chief Operating Officer

Jason Akin is the Chief Operating Officer of the SitelogIQ Master Facility Planning and Midwest division. He has over 15 years of industry experience.

Jason brings his experience of supervising and managing large project teams including contractors, mechanical engineers, and energy specialists.

As Chief Operating Officer, Jason oversees the operations of the organization to meet business goals and projections. His ability to communicate and offer his strong analytical and data-driven mindset inspires employees to live up to their potential and optimize productivity within Unesco.

Jason’s strengths are his ability to evaluate and mitigate risk and focus on frequent and open communication to ensure high levels of client-satisfaction and employee success.

Kevin McGauley President, Master Facility Planning – Midwest

Kevin McGauley is the President of the SitelogIQ Master Facility Planning – Midwest division. He has 30 years of industry experience.

As SitelogIQ President of the Master Facility Planning Division, Kevin is focused on providing strategic planning and asset development, as well as oversight for the day-to-day operations, including administration, business development, sales performance, project management, and staffing functions of the division.

Prior to SitelogIQ, Kevin was an Owner and President of Unesco, Inc., a program management firm with a combined 1,300 years of planning, design, engineering and construction experience that has implemented over $1.2 billion in educational facility improvements for more than 100 K-12 school districts throughout the Upper Midwest. Prior to this role and in addition to owning his own company for many years, Kevin has worked for several large international companies including Trane, Johnson Controls and Honeywell.

Kevin earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Kevin Thueringer Vice President of Development

Kevin Thueringer is the Vice President of Development of the SitelogIQ – Master Facility Planning division. He has over 14 years of industry experience.

His wide range of experience in both large scale new construction, remodels, additions and building upgrades provide a well-rounded understanding of the full project development process. His close attention to details during the building design and construction process and understanding of the clients’ needs provide a perfect balance to deliver successful projects.

Kevin is a member of the AIA, is a LEED accredited professional and has been active in mentor-ship programs for young architects. He is committed to serving the client and understanding their current and future needs in order to provide a successful project that not only meets but exceeds expectations and elevates the human experience.

Mike Taylor is the Vice President of Marketing & Sales for SitelogIQ. He is an energy executive with expertise and more than 35 years’ experience in sales, marketing, and operations.

As the Vice President of Marketing & Sales at SitelogIQ, Mike is responsible for overseeing the marketing and sales operations functions of the company, including strategy, leadership, direction, and execution of all activities internally and in high visibility growth markets.

Prior to SitelogIQ, Mike held a variety of management positions at Honeywell. He has also served in many state and local government positions, as well as in industry trade organizations.

He has been a frequent global speaker on such topics as energy efficiency and smart grid and has been published in many national and international industry publications.

Mike earned his BS degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.

Greg Arkwright Director of Engineering

Greg Arkwright is the Director of Engineering of the SitelogIQ – Midwest division.

Greg’s role at SitelogIQ leverages his diverse technical expertise

in mechanical, electrical, and energy systems along with his experience effectively and efficiently managing technical teams. His career focus in energy conservation, demand-side management, renewable energy and sustainability have fueled his ambition in working with a variety of educational, commercial, industrial, and governmental clients to identify and implement solutions for their facilities that save energy and maintenance costs, reduce greenhouse gases, optimize operational performance and improve indoor air quality while also providing a safe and secure environment for the facilities and occupants.

Greg has over 18 years of experience with mechanical systems design and installation. He has led development for facility-related projects in higher education, K-12 education, municipality and Healthcare facilities assessing, analyzing, developing and implementing facility improvements. He has vast knowledge and experience in the Energy industry dealing with utility rates, rebates and a solid track record of guaranteed utility savings performance for energy projects.

Greg earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University in Rochester Hills then went on to obtain his Master of Business Administration from Walsh College in Troy, MI. Greg is also a Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
