1. Ban of alcohol and smoking in certain areas of the town

Denmark

In Denmark it is not allowed to smoke in any kind of pub, restaurant, or club. Just like in the airports there are special rooms for smoking, but it is not all places that have them. If so, a smoker must go outside. It is actually illegal to smoke in any public places, unless it is outside. You must 18 years old to buy cigarettes. To buy alcohol in a store you have to be 16 years old to buy alcohol like beer, but you have to be 18 years old to buy strong alcohol, like vodka. You have to be 18 years old to buy alcohol in a pub.

Luxembourg

In Luxembourg it´s allowed to smoke in some café´s, but in January the law will change. It will be prohibited to smoke in any kind of pub, club and restaurant. In Luxembourg you can buy cigarettes with 16 years. To buy alcohol like beer you have to be over 16 years and you have to be 18 years for any stronger kind of beer.

Germany

In certain areas alcohol and smoking is banned e.g. in trains and busses. Both is forbidden on schoolgrounds. In Cafes and Restaurants smoking is not permitted and in generel in every public building unless it is a bar. There are certain areas though where smokers can smoke e.g. on the airport in smoking rooms.

Czech Republic

Smoking and drinking alcohol is a problem here and it is prohibited in some areas such as Bus station. When a policeman sees someone who is breaking this ban, he can give him penalty. But still is smoking on bus stops is big problem here. Solution for this problem can be police patrols.

Solutions for Tabor

Smoking has to be limited especially in schools and bus stops and restaurant should be divided into smoking and non-smoking areas. Or there should be

times when smoking is not allowed as example during lunch time, so families with children won’t be disturbed.

2. CCTV cameras into problem areas

https://www.google.cz/search?q=cameras%20in%20the%20street&bav=on.2,or.&bvm=bv.56343320,d.bGE,pv.xjs.s.en_US.Lbm7JZrHHZc.O&biw=1280&bih=802&wrapid=tlif138442255000021&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=cs&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=QpyEUpmDNeKl4gSyvICADQ

DenmarkIn Varde we do not have a lot of cameras, but we do have a few. We have security cameras to make sure nobody is stealing anything, but that is it.

LuxembourgIn Luxembourg, we have many cameras in problem areas but they aren’t as much problem areas but I think it helps for the safety for the population. Because there could maybe happen something unusual. At the other hand I think that these cameras robbed the privacy of the population.

GermanyIn trains and stations there are CCTV cameras and in certain public places as on some car parks or schools, on the Reeperbahn and infront of the the town hall but these are not necessarily problem areas.

Czech RepublicNear discos, music clubs, pubs, dark streets, houses where gypsies live, some parks are problems at night, because of drunken vandals. The most problematic places in Tábor are “Fišlovka” on Lužnická street, Pražská estate, parks near railway and bus station.

Solution for Tabor

One solution for Tabor can be adding more cameras at problematic places to better supervision under vandals. There by the privacy of the people should be secured, but they only have to place these cameras in problematic areas.

3. Street culture (art performers)

http://freakify.com/2013-best-50-forms-of-street-art/5/

Denmark

In Varde, street art is not a problem. Nobody seems to be interested in doing graffiti, and nobody seems to know if we have a ban against it. We think that if we had a ban against it, people wanted to do graffiti, because they wanted to break the ban.

Luxembourg

In Luxembourg City, we have problems with street art, but I think there are two opinions to see this problem. Street art could be very beautiful so in Luxembourg we have a house for the art performers to make their pieces.

Germany

Hamburg has many buskers and art performers especially in the city centre but as well in local areas. Many people like it as it creates a nicer atmosphere and supports cultural aspects.

Czech Republic

In Tábor are a lot of graffiti artists who are damaging public belongings, mainly in railway station, soundproofed walls in near of Tábor, in back streets etc.

Solutions for Tabor

We suggest for Tabor that they should give the art performers a chance to do their art, uninterrupted. If the street art performers can do their art without being disturbed, and they only paint on walls they are allowed to, they can actually make real art. We suggest the city of Tabor give maybe ten ugly walls to a group of artist, and then pay the artist to make them beautiful. The city of Tabor could also give the street artist an old house, where they can practice, like they did in Luxembourg. This house could also work as a gallery, so the skilled artists get the respect which some of them deserve. We don’t think a ban against street art will work, because people always want to break bans.

4. Discounts for students in different areas of life (sports, culture)

https://www.google.cz/search?q=cameras%20in%20the%20street&bav=on.2,or.&bvm=bv.56343320,d.bGE,pv.xjs.s.en_US.Lbm7JZrHHZc.O&biw=1280&bih=802&wrapid=tlif138442255000021&um=1&ie=UTF8&hl=cs&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=QpyEUpmDNeKl4gSyvICADQ#hl=cs&q=isic+card&tbm=isch&um=1

DenmarkThe only place we have special prices for student are at public transport. It is half price if you can prove that you are a student.

LuxembourgIn Luxembourg, we have student cards to receive discounts.

GermanyThere are many discounts for students e.g. many leisure activities offer student discounts and universities supply their students with public transport tickets.Students also do not have to pay high uni tuition fees but only a contribution of 285€ per semester.

Czech Republic

For some students who don´t live near to their school it is a bit expensive to pay for the public transport. Some of the discounts for the transport cannot be used in holidays, there aren´t many discounts for textbooks which they need for school and the same problem is with prices of sportsgrounds.

Solutions for Tabor

Commercial high school provided for each student ISIC cards, which students can use in some places like theatres, discounts for busses, museums, McDonald´s, Skiing centres and shops. We think it can work in more schools and in wider spectre.
