Dear Company Representative: On behalf of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) Student Chapter of The Henry Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California, Irvine we would like to invite you to participate in the Third Annual Biomedical Engineering Industry Night on Thursday, April 15, 2010, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Student Center, Pacific Ballroom B (parking is complimentary). BME Industry Night is an opportunity for leading biomedical industry representatives to meet undergraduate and graduate engineering students of various majors from a top-tier public university and to recruit for internships and full-time employment within their company. This event provides a platform for students to network with recruiters and engineers, giving students an incentive to work at your company once they graduate. The event reception will begin at 5:00 p.m. with beverages and hors d`oeuvres. Registration is only $100.00 and includes a company booth for your materials and displays (please arrive by 4:00 p.m. to set up your booth) and a CD containing approximately 100 BME student resumes. You will have an opportunity to introduce your company in a 5-minute presentation at the beginning of this event. Additionally, your organization’s logo and a link to your website will be placed on the UCI Engineering webpage. Your organization’s logo and company profile will also be featured in the BMES event brochure, which will be given to all attendees including faculty, staff, students, and industry representatives. The deadline for registration is Friday, April 9, 2010. The UC Irvine BMES Student Chapter’s mission is to create awareness among the campus community and other engineering students about the biomedical engineering field. This chapter also serves to promote the biomedical engineering profession by providing their members with resources and networks for professional development. One of their most important efforts is building relationships with local biomedical engineering companies, like you, and connecting their members with career opportunities.
