Page 3: Inaugural Republic Day Issue RNI NO: UPHIN/2008/30446 Vol.-1 … Jan edition.pdf · 2019-10-22 · 1. Infertility can result from various reasons. For certain types of infertility,

IVF is Blessings for all Childless couples!

People grappling with the parameters of modern

living and its fallout like stress are increasingly realizing

that a little medical help, can go a long way in achieving

success in the pursuit of a much-desired baby.

The burden of infertility, most of the patient is not able to

handle this. when a couple get to know that they are

dealing with the problem of the infertility so they get in the

illusion and start finding the reason behind it, that who is

responsible for it male partner or the female partner.

Vitro fertilization (IVF) is a method of assisted

reproduction serving couples who have problems in

conceiving a child without intervention. In this procedure

the female partner is given special medication to

stimulate the ovaries. This leads to the production of

more eggs. These eggs are surgically harvested after

they ripen. Sperms are then taken from the male partner,

which are combined with the eggs in the lab. The

embryos grow in the laboratory for a period of three to

five days. The most viable embryos are then implanted

into the woman's uterus.

Advantages of IVF:

1. Infertility can result from various reasons. For certain

types of infertility, IVF really boosts the chances of

pregnancy. Women with blocked fallopian tubes stand a

good chance with IVF treatment. Men having a low

sperm count stand to gain immensely from IVF. 2.Weak

sperm that is unable to fertilize the egg naturally

responds well to IVF. 3. With already created embryos,

the sperm omits the need to find its way into the woman's

reproductive tract. IVF provides infertile couples with the

option of choosing donor eggs in cases where the

female partner may have issues with her own eggs

including premature ovarian failure. 4.Surrogate IVF

uses eggs from the donor and the woman's partner's

sperm to create embryos in the lab. This kind of

assisted reproduction provides two options – one,

the embryo can be implanted into the donor's womb

or into the woman's uterus. IVF has the advantage

of checking the eggs or the embryo for any genetic

abnormalities. IVF does not guarantee a pregnancy

but it boosts chances of one. For millions around the

globe it has become a method of choice. Many of

the challenges in making the treatment successful

can be overcome by a good doctor. The odds of

success decrease with age. It is best to choose IVF

before age 35-40. But surprisingly there have even

been reports of women on the brink of menopause

getting pregnant after the IVF treatment! But that

age is not what doctors recommend. The younger

the woman is, the better the chances of success

are.

An Apartment Owners Association (AOA) is an authority that protects the rights of the Apartment Owners, maintains the amenities in the apartment and works for the welfare of the residents of the Apartments by conducting events or awareness programs. According to the UP Apartment Act 2010, a developer has to help Apartment Owners in their projects to form an AOA. Once the AOA is registered, the common areas and facilities shall be 'deemed as transferred' to it. Major builder malpractices / issues from builder is on –(a)Ownership of clubs, commercial spaces and other common areas clause in service level agreement. All sub-lessee flat owners must

have all rights jointly through the AOA in rest of the complex in accordance with the definition of common areas in cl.3(i)(i) to (viii) of the UPAA Act 2010. (b) flats sale done on super area against UPAA 2010 ac t . Bu i l de rs m isuse calculation of super area.(c) electricity charges - builders are illegally charging vending charges, excess fixed charges of grid electricity and dg electricity. (d) fire safety and disaster management norms - sanctioned layout building plans should adhere to the norms in respect to escape routes, setbacks, elevator standards, rescue area etc. But many builders are not following the same. Sublease Clause is detrimental to our rights reads as follows –

(a) "the sub-lesee/third party shall

have no rights in rest of the

For the last few year DELHI-NCR is facing severe Pollution especially during October to February period is the worst period during which Air Quality Index (AQI) reaches 500+ levels, which is emergency level but still Government authorities, government are not serious about it. The major reason for the same is high level pf PM2.5 and PM10 particles which are very harmful and damage caused to lungs by the same is irreversible. To fight dust pollution and bring tis issue to centre stage , one case was submi t ted a t NGT (Or ig ina l Application no 716 of 2017) by 2 residents of Sec 74,77 supported by a group of likeminded and a result of this case and continuous follow up ,things starting to change now. This issue should be divided into two parts, Reason and Solutions. Reason behind Dust Pollution: Dust pollution is major source of PM2.5 AND PM10 Pollutant and off late been recognized as one of the major sources of pollution in NCR specially Noida. The main reason for the same are 1. Construction work be it public projects or private and debris, wastage from the same, which are dumped there in non-scientific manner.

2. Damage roads or cutting of roads for various work like Electric cable, Telecom cable, Water or Sewerage work and on the damaged portion o f r o a d i s l e f t u n a t t e n d e d /uncovered.3. Non removal of road side dust from roads, kacha road and dumping the same on road side divider, green belt. Solution for the same 1. Often it has been noted (pics shared ) that road side dust is not properly removed specially near divider or footpath and whatever dust is collected is dumped on the divider or corners ,in order to resolve this issue ,Mechanical sweeping of the road should be done specially like sector 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79 which are having dust pollution level. 2. Major source of dust polluon at Noida is damaged road ,either due to bad road condion or due to regular cung of roads by various telecom operators, road cung by E&M department of authority and Water Sewerage department of authority .It has been noted that roads are not restored or resourced once it is damaged and le uncovered during digging work. 3. Water sprinkling should be done regularly from Mid-October ll Feb, as during this me period wind speed are slow and we have maximum polluon .4.Regular water sprinkling on trees (especially during Oct to Feb ) as lots of dust is gathered on trees.

DUST POLLUTION IN NOIDA Amit Gupta Founder Member, NOFAAPrateek Wisteria

Life on earth owes its existence to the warm blanket formed by the greenhouse gases around it that traps a part of the infrared rays reflected from the surface of the earth but for which we would have been in the ice age. However, this protective blanket is now becoming thicker due to anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydro fluorocarbons, per fluorocarbons and Sulphur hexafluoride etc causing an enhanced greenhouse effect that is warming up the earth. Climate models suggest that the average global earth surface temperature will rise by 1.4 to 5.8 centigrade by the turn of this century. The effects of global warming are already becoming evident. Average temperature has risen by 0.6 degree celcius; sea level has risen by 10.20 cm; snow formation reduced by 10% and Himalayan glaciers have commenced retreating. We need to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, which will mean altering how we live and do business. We also need to realistically assess the implications of the changes that are already upon us and adapt accordingly. WHAT YOU AND WE CAN DO TO MITIGATE You release greenhouse gases as a result of using energy to drive, using electricity to light and heat our home, and through other activities that support our quality of life like growing food, raising livestock and throwing away garbage. Greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced through simple measures like changing light bulbs and properly inflating your tires. Right now following easy steps you can take to not only reduce your greenhouse gas emissions, but also reduce air pollution, increase the nation's energy independence and save money.

there are hundreds of families which, for generations have been engaged in the occupation of sweeping, cleaning and moping, collecting garbage from house hold, offices and roadside. They, in their wildest of their dreams cannot imagine that the work they do should not be done with bare hands and exposed feet. This is a primitive way of life they lead, that too without adequate awareness. Some may argue that technology is there to bail them out and some steps in this regard are being taken as well. But for India, the scale is so large that the effect is realized much later and this lag impedes the desired outcome. So swiftly can we think of introducing a pair of gloves to all the cleaning staff in our respective societies? It would just require the RWA's wish to enforce this system- any cleaning staff, please wear gloves while at work. With least cost and least time, we can provide these helpers with the basic minimum health protection through a pair of gloves. If we can enforce wearing gloves within sweepers, an eye opener to quality life can be introduced. After all, they are part of our everyday social fabric and think of a day without your garbage been picked up or the roads not been cleaned. SO LET US INTRODUCE GLOVES TO OUR SWEEPERS AND GARBAGE MANAGEMENT STAFF IN OUR RESPECTIVE SOCIETIES.We have done it in Shubhkamna Apartment and most of them are gradually developing the habit of wearing gloves to work.

We rubbish anything and everything that comes our way- political parties, political leaders, businessmen, railways, government systems, our neighbours, relatives, the roads, the morning tea and what not. Our habit of criticizing everyone and everything reflects our pessimistic approach; and who is a pessimist? One who does not believe in solution of problems. Smallest of the problems becomes a big issue and the entire thought process revolves around analyzing the problem itself rather than thinking about solutions. Unclean footpaths, garbage dumping, littering, public place cleanliness etc.are big issues these days in India and the aam janta has got another topic for rubbishing. We, ourselves, being part of the dirtying exercise rubbish the dirt and filth lying around; again pessimistic. Then who is an optimist? An OPTIMIST is one who GATHERS ALL THE RUBBISH, segregates it into packets and throws it at a desired place. And all this with a SINGLE PAIR OF HANDS…. BARE HANDS!! I am talking about the rag pickers, the sweepers and the cleaning staff in our country. Almost all of them do this work with naked hands breaching all safety layers. Isn't it common sense that any work that involves such dirty substances should not be done with naked hands, AT LEAST A PAIR OF GLOVES is the basic minimum protection that should be taken? We may find this discussion weird as we are not sensitized to think at those levels, we shall actually not allow our children to even pick up a single bit from the floor of our house which is clean, spick and span. But in our country,

WHAT RUBBISH…. (Waste & Garbage)

Smart city, meaning is self-explanatory and when we talk about Noida, it is the perception that Noida is like a smart city, it hub of North India where people are living smart life with every system is in place and almost flawless, without any civic challenges. I hope everyone who is not l iv ing in Noida has th is perception. Even people outside india know about Noida as it city and at many places we compare Noida with London, Tokyo, Shnaghai & other big cities of world. With the kind of development going across the city, whether you take metro, elevated roads, under pass, multilevel parking, world class malls & other infra related development, sometime we felt "yes" we are at right place but is this the reality, a big question for Noida residents or is it just a dream ?? With problems like garbage dump everywhere, open manholes, poor condition of roads, open drainage, traffic jam, wrong side driving, huge dust pollution, almost zero cleaning and many more we the Noida residents sometimes feel cheated by the relevant authorities and overall system has collapsed. Sometimes we the Noida residents feel helpless and need to run behind authorities even for small issues. Today if anyone take a round of city and see what is there on roads, both side of roads you will find either garbage lying, lots of dust & dust only. Many Noida active residents are talking about the problems, taking it to authorities but it seems request is going in to deaf ears. Time to think

upon!!! I would like to emphasis on some of the means by which we can have the resolut ion of such problems and i am sure via nofaa (NOFAA, Noida Federation of Apartment Owner Association), authority & administration would take the cognizance of situation and help us to #savenoida and to make actual #cleannoida #greennoida. Some thoughts below: we need to switch over #proactivemaintenance rather #preventivemaintenance and in actual there is need here to make authority aware of what actually maintenance is. Today the whole focus is new development but with that if we don't maintain the existing then we can't go long. Various citizen forums to be built and discuss upon by Noida authority. I am sure this would help in easy resolution of problems along with good cost saving. A strong need to take help of it to build a good automated governing system and to k e e p t r a c k o n v a r i o u s developments. Before the start of every year, Noida authority to send yearly plan to Noida resident with

Earth is the only known planet

in this universe where life is

possible only because of the

availability of water and oxygen.

Without water no one can exist

even for a day. We also know that

there is very less percentage of

clean water means drinking water

available on the earth. So, we

should not waste clean water and

save it for future generations. We

should promote the less use and

saving of clean water to maintain

the continuity of life on the earth.

Discharge of untreated sewage

is single most important cause for

pollution of surface & ground water

since there is a large gap between

generation and treatment of

domestic wastewater in Noida

espec ia l l y in Sec to r -74-79 .

Noida Authority has failed to

provide us the sewage connection

in this area whereas we all have

paid huge amount like 18-20k in the

name of water and sewerage

connection when we all bought this

house. CPCB (Central Pollution

Control Board ) is aware of this that

many builders Apartments are

directly throwing the sewage in the

open drain. Breeding ground for so

many diseases. We all are living in

Carrying a kilo of each apples, oranges and grapes

with my recently altered suits and my handbag- my

hands full, I ran towards a garbage collector who was

trying to empty out his _“Thela”_ at the first open place

to ease his work. Many cars brushed passed me,

some laughed, some stared, some wondered why a

women in her early forties carrying so much load was

running after a mere _“kude wala”.

Those passing me looked at me and whispered,

as I screamed *”RUKOO”* at the top of my voice and

reached this guy, stopping him from throwing garbage

in not an undesignated place. Thank heavens he

respected my words and went away, making me feel

triumphant atleast for the time being, mission

accomplished! This left a seed of sadness in my heart

which grew with every such experience. There on I

started noticing how people did not bother what was

happening with any fellow human. It made me think..

why none of the passerby, the previous day stopped

and asked if all was orderly.. maybe I was running

behind a thief.. or a molestor, or a criminal; not a soul

bothered. We all hear of road rage.. one kills the other

just because he had scratched his car. We hear of a

women being molested in a crowded bus just because

she chose to travel by public transport, or may be didn't

have an option. We see so many things happening

around us which we know are wrong, yet turn a deaf

ear and walk away.

Fights turn into murders, flirting turns into

rape, dust turns into garbage and so on. We feel good

sitting in our social circle and discussing how poor the

governance of the present political party is or how bad

the law and order is or how India does not look as clean

as Dubai, but when we actually see a situation we

simply turn our eyes away and keep our curious ears

there to only turn it into a story later between our circle

_“pata hai aaj Kya hua? Maine dekha....” Think! Would

a man be able to molest a woman if 20 more people

joined to stop him? We can stop so much wrong by

simply stopping and sorting. Give it a little thought,

The aims of education reflect the current

needs and aspirations of a society as well as its lasting values, and the immediate concerns of a community as well as broad human ideals. Locating the term quality in educational discourse is now a universal concern today. “Quality is somewhat problematic: like beauty, it lies in the eyes – or rather the mind of the beholder”. United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recently published global monitoring report which discusses systematic standards as the appropriate context of the quality debate. From this point of view, the child's performance needs to be treated as an indicator of systematic quality. The quality dimension also needs to be examined from the point of view of the experiences designed for the child in terms of knowledge and skills. Assumption about the nature of knowledge and the child's own nature shapes the school ethos and the approaches used by those who prepare the syllabi and textbooks and by teachers as well. The representation of knowledge in text books and other materials need to be viewed from the larger perspective of the challenges facing humanity and the nation today. No subject in the school curriculum can stay aloof from these larger concerns, and therefore the selection of knowledge proposed to be included in each subject area requires careful examination in terms of socio-economic and cultural conditions and goals. Quality in education includes a concern for quality of life in all its dimensions. For the parents and students, quality education means, improving

Quality Concern regarding Education in Noida

the quality of education invariably means raising the levels of academic performance usually measured in the test scores in the various subjects which form part of school curriculum. With reference to education quality is a relative term and hard to define and even more difficult to measure. That is why educationists, scholars, educational policy makers and administrators do not come to same conclusion while discussing what makes good quality education or a qualitative education. However, parental aspirations for education are belied by endemic poverty and unequal social relations, and by lack of adequate provision of schooling of equitable quality. Merely providing adequate infrastructure, teaching-learning material, adequate teaching and non-teaching staff, providing conducive atmosphere in the school for learning are not sufficient requirements towards the quality education. Along with this, components of the c u r r i c u l u m , v i z . s y l l a b u s , p e d a g o g y, examination, affiliation and accreditation standards are also important factors which need to be addressed while dealing with quality issues in education. These issues have been discussed separately in the light of different education Boards and efficiently taken care of by various schools. Thus in this regard effective measures are being taken up to promote quality education in schools so as to understand the quality concern in education.
