This rule might sound st range t o many of you, but it is one of t he most impor t ant r ules. St udying grammar will only slow you down and

conf use you. You will t hink about t he rules while creat ing sentences inst ead of nat urally saying a sentence like a nat ive. Remember t hat

only a small f r act ion of English speakers know more t han 20% of all t he grammar r ules. Many st udent s know more gr ammar t han nat ive

speakers. Those who speak English f luent ly somet imes don' t even know t he rules. Fluency comes wit h pract ice.

Do you want t o be able t o recit e t he def init ion of a causat ive verb, or do you want t o be able t o speak English f luent ly?

Many st udents learn vocabulary and t r y t o put many wor ds t oget her t o creat e a proper sentence. I t is amazing, if you know 1000 wor ds,

you might not be able to say one corr ect sent ence. But if you know 1 phrase, you can make hundreds of corr ect sent ences. I f you know

100 phrases, you will be surpr ised at how many cor r ect sent ences you will be able t o say. Finally, when you know only a 1000 phr ases, youwill be almost a f luent English speaker .

So don' t spend hour s and hours learning many dif f erent wor ds. Use that t ime t o study phrases inst ead and you will be closer t o English

    f luency.

Don' t t r anslat e : When you want t o create an English sentence, do not t r anslat e t he words f r om your Mother t ongue. The order of

wor ds is probably completely dif f erent and you will be both slow and incor r ect by doing t his. I nst ead, lear n phrases and sentences so you

don' t have to t hink about t he words you are saying. I t should be automat ic.

Reading, list ening, and speaking ar e t he most import ant aspects of any language. The same is t r ue f or English. The nat ural order is

list ening, speaking, reading, and t hen wr it ing.

When you learn a second language, you need t o read mater ial t o underst and and learn it . So even t hough t he nat ural order is list ening,

speaking, r eading, t hen writ ing, t he or der f or st udents is r eading, list ening, speaking, and t hen writ ing.

The r eason many people can read and list en is because that ' s all t hey pract ice. But , in or der t o speak English f luent ly, you need t o

pract ice speaking. Don' t st op at t he list ening port ion, and when you st udy, don' t j ust list en. Speak out loud t he material you ar e list ening

t o and pract ice what you hear . Pr act ice speaking out loud unt il your mout h and br ain can do it wit hout any ef f ort . By doing so, you will be

able t o speak English f luent ly.

Being able t o speak a language is not r elat ed t o how smar t you are. Anyone can learn how t o speak any language.

You don' t have t o go anywhere t o become a f luent English speaker . You only need t o sur r ound your self wit h English. You can do t his by

making rules wit h your ex ist ing f r iends t hat you will only speak English. You can also car r y around an iPod and const ant ly li st en to Englishsent ences. As you can see, you can achieve result s by changing what your sur r oundings are. Submerge yourself in English and you will

lear n sever al t imes f aster.

A common phr ase t hat is incor r ect is, This is f ar f r om t he t r ut h. Pr act ice only makes what you ar e pr act icing

permanent . you will have per f ected saying t he sentence incor r ect ly. Theref ore, it is import ant

    t hat you

Anot her pr oblem is t hat many st udent s st udy news. However , f or mal and t he cont ent t hey use is mor e

polit ical and not used in regular l if e. I t is import ant t o under st and what t hey are saying, but t his is more of an advanced lesson that

should be studied af t er learning t he f undament al basics of English.

Dont be ner vous when you make mist akes. Human err or is f ar f r om being a new concept nobody is per f ect ! I t is nor mal f or everyone to

make mist akes. J ust calm down and keep speaking bravely.

Tr y and t r y again! This may be dif f icult f or a shy person at f ir st , but you need to f orce your self t o speak, and not seclude your t houghts.

    I f you have some ideas, t hen t r y t o speak out ! Dont j ust keep t hem in your head.

"Pr act ice makes perf ect ."

I f you pract ice t he incorr ect sent ence,

st udy mater ial t hat is commonly used by most people.

t he language t hey speak is mor e
