WHAT IS THE PODCAST?

O A podcast is a multimedia file made available as a digital download or to be streamed from the Internet to a computer or media playing device.

O “Podcast” is derived from the words “broadcast” and “pod” due to the success of Apple Inc.’s iPod.

O Podcasts can be created for books in text and audio, movies, radio stations or audio and video mini-series.

Podcast opens a new world to media

and communication. A new way of learning a new

language is through podcast, instead

of buying all the books and expensive

cassettes to get used to the sound

The podcast can be downloaded and

the access to it is very easy.

Podcasting is beneficial to

individuals and businesses that seek

to reach large audiences because of

its cost effectiveness. A podcast

requires only basic audio recording

equipment to capture, and an

Internet connection and means of

delivering the podcast to listeners.

A major advantage to podcasting is

the benefit of reaching millions of

listeners who have the ability to listen

to your programming when they choose.

WHATS IS HTML?O Wikipedia defines html as a standardized system

for tagging text files to achieve colour, graphic and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages.

O Hyper text markup language is a text based language used to create web pages for display by a web bowser.It is a formatting language, since it consists of codes which instruct the browser how to create, format and display the information on the web page. The data to be displayed on the pages is written amongst the data in the document. The marks are shown as tags recognize by the <> brackets around each formatting code.
